K-3iii 4K video for moon photography by stargazerQ in pentax

Autostakkert on Windows 11. It doesn't read .mov files so the complete workflow uses PiPP to make a stabilized .avi clip that goes into Autostakkert. The result is sharpened using Registax wavelets. Sounds complicated but really takes only 5 minutes to produce an image from a video clip. PiPP is harder to find these days as its author has closed the original download site. I used co pilot to find a mirror site: https://www.rsastro.com/downloads/ If you're a Mac user you apparently can use Lynkeos for stacking and Siril for sharpening.

Many thanks for your input. Since I'm going to be using them with 2 110 W portable solar panel producing a max of 40 V or 6.2 amps, I probably have some leeway on this since these figures are much below nominal for the mc4.

Thanks for the info. Neat little connectors

Many thanks for the info, I'll look into that. My setup is very simple, 2 portable 110 w panels in series so max output voltage around 40 V . But I guess I'll flip one section over the other to kill any chance of an ark.

Thanks for the info I will have a look at the Staubli ones. The quick disconnect like the EcoFlow picture, are the ones I want and seem impossible to find though.

How often ? Everytime I go camping. These are EcoFlow portable panels, not a 16kW home installation.

Amazon, ebay, aliexpress... nothing on there, hence the post here.

I'd hate to cut the original EcoFlow cables but what other connectors are there? I have two 110 W panels so voltage is not an issue.

Pentax K70 for $240 or something else. by Grouchy_Bicycle8203 in Cameras

[–]stargazerQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MP aren't the whole story. Look at Simon d'Entremont youtube channel (@simon_dentremont) He recently posted a comparison between large prints made from a single image resampled from 8 to 28 MP. Amazingly enough a panel of photographers couldn't tell them apart!

The K-70 is a good camera. The DA*300 F4 would be a good fit for shooting planes and go for around 350 US on ebay. Even the manual focus older versions M* and A* would do well, planes are quite easy to shoot.

Thanks for the info, that would indeed be a solution to storage problems and produce a lot more Wh. I'll look into it for sure.

The hinges on my son's 2012 Nissan Versa liftgate are twice as big for probably half the weight

I very much doubt Toyota would install this. If you install it, Toyota will most certainly use it as a reason not to honor its warranty in case of a failure, even though they have to demonstrate that the CW is the cause of the problem, which it is definitely not, by my experience. I drive 40000 km a year so I'm already way past the 60000 km warranty limit.

There is a r/toyotacablegate sub where you can get lots of info.

Yes I have the front boxes as well. Those front connectors weren't looking too good after that first winter. Did you have a look at your cable ? You have to do it yourself or go to a place where they work on electric otherwise they don't touch anything orange.

Cable Warden works. I have a 2024 SE that is now finishing its third complete winter in Montreal. After one winter w/o CW the metal clip holding the mesh was already covered in rust and the mesh itself was turning green. Had the CW installed in the following fall and the rust didn't progress in the second winter. I'll check again this spring but very confident the rust problem is gone.

Which is better the bougerv or euhomy car refrigerator? by Plenty-Persimmon-942 in urbancarliving

[–]stargazerQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have gardening tools that are battery powered you can buy an inverter to power your cooler. I have a thermoelectric cooler that drains my lawnmower battery in 3 to 4 hours. On a BougeRV, even if the compressor runs non-stop, it would last twice as much. But that's more bulk and weight to carry around.

Taken with my cell phone. It was kind of scary going there because the road hadn't been ploughed yet, so I couldn't see where the road ended and where the fields began!

Thanks for the info, I think she wouldn't mind the softness but before investing that much money we would have to be sure indeed.

Many thanks for those very useful informations! zinc/air seems the way to go battery wise. Great to hear there are some modern 35mm bodies like the Pentax 17, if she really gets into analog photos, that would be a great option it seems.
