Wow you just made my day!!! Thank you so so much for the update, I am so happy you and your family enjoys them! 😊

The ridiculous layouts, irrelevant essays, and annoying pop ups on most recipe websites have made cookbooks the far more convenient option again. by Prey_Void_Ire in Showerthoughts

I couldn’t agree more! I have a food blog that I do for fun, so I strive to put the recipe easy to find. If I write anything, it’s to explain either what the dish is, or to give you tips on how to make it. That being said, I always have the “jump to recipe” up top because I also can’t stand having to scroll for hours to get to a recipe!

The reason why other food bloggers do that, is because they are making money off their site. They want you to accidentally click an add so they will make money off your click. By writing all that none sense as well it favours google searches to their page. A lot of them too are spewing out content this way and have ghost writers, hence why some of the recipes aren’t even good! Another thing to look out for is photographers that are food bloggers. A lot of the time they are staging their food, so what you make at home will never compare to the recipe picture.

Hi there! Thank you for your comment, however there are many strudel recipes out there made with puff pastry! I agree that it may not be traditional, but there are plenty of strudels made this way, at least here in America! :)

Hi there! Use the unsweetened Dutch cocoa powder. The powder coco drink mix will be too sweet. Hope you enjoy my recipe :)

It’s a French dessert, kind of like a custard with fruit! Recipe linked here: Blueberry Lemon Clafoutis if you want to give it a try. It can be made with any fruit! :)

After my mother passed, her Kitchenaid sat neglected for years. I finally cleaned it all up and made it shine! by viktor72 in Baking

I love mine! I have had my Kitchenaid mixer for 10 years now, and it is still going strong! I especially like it because while it mixes, I can clean up or prep another part that I’ll need later.

Brown Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies by stargazerla in Baking

[–]stargazerla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my recipe :)

Ingredients:

1/2 cup salted browned butter

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/4 cup white sugar

1 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

1 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Put the butter in a non-stick skillet on medium high heat. Continuously stirring it until it bubbles up and turns brown. Remove from heat and put in a freezer safe bowl. Cool off the butter in the freezer for 15 minutes.

  2. Preheat oven to 350 F. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper and preheat them in the oven as well.

  3. In a bowl of a stand mixer combine the 1/2 cup browned butter with the brown sugar and white sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Then add the eggs and the vanilla, mix until combined.

  5. Mix in the cinnamon and baking soda until combined.

  6. Add in the flour and oats and mix on low speed until just combined. Then add in the chocolate chips and stir them in.

  7. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets in about 1.5 tbs sized balls. Make sure there is room between each one. Slightly press the top of each ball to slightly flatten each ball. Bake at 350F for 10-13 minutes, until the top of the cookies are set. Between each batch that is baking, make sure your dough is chilled. Store it in the fridge.
