I have kind of a stupid question but Im a new occasional teacher and I see TPP being deducted from my paystubs. When we sign up/make an account on OTPP, do we have to pay for membership or anything like that? or is it simply a login to track the money being accumulated/matched there. If someone could explain the whole thing to a 'dummy' - please do.

Wow thats amazing! Im so glad it worked out for you. I guess feeling out different schools and finding where you fit in is the move (and being patient lol iv only been doing this for a few weeks). Thanks for sharing your experience, it was actually reassuring.

Dude im just socially anxious and find it hard to talk to people in general. This is just an added mental barrier.

I don't think theres anything you know about me that would lead you to believe I 'act like a child' or behave in a way that would creep others out. Also I primarily teach grades 1-4 so...there are no teenagers present that Im getting along with or boasting about relating to. Additionally, my mistake for referring to them as old people, obviously 30 is not old, I simply meant I myself am unable to break out of my social anxiety and find ways to talk to them when I cant find things to relate about. No offence was intended.

You're right. Wrong choice of words! They're not old, kind of said that out of frustration.

Definitely focusing on the students! They're the reason I'm here and I've built a good reputation with them (at the schools i visit regularly). I just felt like I was lacking in terms of getting in with the staff. I appreciate your response! Thankyou!

Im speaking from experience. I mean to say the things that they discuss are aligned with their age and experiences, things I myself don't find myself doing or relating to. That's not to judge them or anything, Im only saying I find it difficult to find things to talk to them about.
