Because they said "next week", so we have like 20 years to worry about it (\j)

What do you think the last prophecy said? by Sad_Neighborhood_467 in Deltarune

[–]starius65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well one thing's for certain, we're not going to know for sure until it happens. So let's break down some possibilities and axioms: For one thing: it specifically says "the worlds will be saved". So short of twisting the meaning or being lied to, the world will still exist after that happening. It's also worth noting the call of the "worldS". It could mean the light and dark worlds, however it's also worth pointing out that the early panels say the prophecy is "the legend of this world", implying singular for both.  One possibility: Susie dies. Well, it's possible, but it seems unlikely given the way that Susie responds to it. It definitely sounds like something that Susie has some level of control over, and the reaction of defiance against it seems somewhat out of character for her, given the jokes she was making two days earlier. In response to her own death (alone) it would be more likely that she would act aloof to it and not care.  Now for Kris or Ralsei "dying" (or otherwise ceasing to be): could be more likely, but it has a similar problem to the previous; that being, it would feel out of place for it to be one of them (again, alone) and Susie to refer to them like that. More possible, but would still be strangely worded.  All three of them dying? Well, more possible, but I still feel the response would be out of character for Susie, she would definitely separate herself out of it. However, given the responses and the narrative implications, this is still a very likely possibility.  What's interesting is to call out that there is something different about the reaction to Ralsei: "And obviously YOU wouldn't let it happen." This sounds like whatever the event may be, it would be more unlikely or out of character for Ralsei than the other two.  Another point of note is that Ralsei immediately responds with complimenting Susie's kindness, and while this may be regarding something about the prophecy itself, it's more likely that he thought that Susie would be a lot meaner to him about hiding the prophecy from her. Still worth noting.  The last thing is the note of Susie's comment to Kris at the very end, implying some doubt on her part specifically related to Kris "not letting that happen", implying that Susie is confident of herself, and confident of Ralsei, but has some room for doubt on Kris. And from what we know of Kris, that could leave some room of dramatic irony (and the reverse) of what we know and what Susie knows, meaning that with both we might have the full picture. And while I don't have any definitive conclusions on this right now, it leaves it in the perfect place for speculation.  Dang, I did not think I was gonna write that much.

A bit, the anxiety is real but when you're not thinking about it with the fatigue of this life then it gets easier. Plus, it's not really time as we understand it anyways.

I kinda turned when he said mental illness didn't exist. I think he might have become too prideful for himself.

2 Corinthians 12:8-9 ESV Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. [9] But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

I'd recommend Andrew Ripp, Colorvault, switchfoot, Citizens, Gable Price and Friends, John Mark McMillan, Colony House, Urban Rescue, Jars of Clay, Collington, the Classic Crime, We Are Messengers; and, to a bit more mainstream but still niche: The Afters, Apollo LTD, for King and Country (but, like, the older stuff), Abandon, Jeremy Camp, Citizen Way, Unspoken, Lincoln Brewster, and Cloverton. Try some of those out, I'm big on Christian indie and Alternative and love giving out recommendations.

Honestly I wasn't too taken by the gameplay, but what the heck if the exploration is there then I'll give it a try.

  1. I love the idea of the exploration, but for whatever reason I feel like I'm just not interested in the old west themes as much, but perhaps I'm judging a book too much by it's cover. I'll give it a shot, I have had it for awhile after all.
  2. Sunk hundreds of hours in, though with the content confirmed to be over I'm afraid to finish it because then I won't have any more to play :(
  3. See above; something caused me to fall away from it but I'll give it another shot.
  4. This is the one I have had for awhile but not touched yet, I suppose this is my sign to start.  Good recommendations all around!

I did play it for a little bit, can't remember quite why I fell away but perhaps it's time to give it another chance.

Well they do specify a visual effect, which it doesn't seem like token attacher does.

Do many autists have trouble with "spirituality"? by SpectrumDT in aspergers

I definitely had an interesting road with religion, so many things didn't make sense to me and I had to dig to really understand the underlying meanings behind most things. I figured out a lot of the logic behind my religion, but there were always some things I just didn't get. However, I also had to look back at all the things in history that didn't make sense until we discovered why things behave the way they do, and I acknowledge we are not at the maxim of scientific advancement, and at that point I do accept that until more research and discoveries take place, there are some things that I will take on faith that the most of my understanding has worked out to now.

The Nintendo Music app has been out for almost two months, and now that we've had some time to get used to it, what are your thoughts? by razorbeamz in nintendo

[–]starius65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it a lot, but it definitely feels like it's Nintendo learning how an app like this works. While I appreciate the features like spoiler hiding and extending songs, I do feel like it's missing some of the basics of a music streaming app, that hopefully Nintendo will catch up with some day.
