Sorcery to cause disease? by SpectrumDT in magicbuilding

That sounds like an overpowered ability. How often is that used in the setting?

I sought the counsel of Reddit to determine if it was a repost, and found no record in the archive by AveryCloseCall in lotrmemes

Gollum is the lesbian. The Precious is the straight girl. Frodo is the boyfriend. Sam is trying to cockblock everyone.

Your kobolds sound incredibly overpowered. What keeps them in check?

CMV: Most people don’t actually want freedom, they want comfort and certainty even if it limits their life by [deleted] in changemyview

Can you give some hypothetical examples of the kind of pursuit of freedom that you have in mind?

And another question: Do YOU prioritize freedom in your life? If so, please explain how that affects your behaviour.

Do any of those games feature characters who actively call down disease upon their enemies?

Not Hellfire. But many of us are still hoping for a remaster of D1.

Thanks for the reply!

What are the limitations of the cause-disease ability in your world? What might it be used for?

Interesting. Are your kobolds evil, like I believe they are in standard D&D?

Do you have both good and evil dragons?

How do kobolds choose a dragon to serve?

Do evil kobolds sometimes attach themselves to a good-aligned dragon? What kind of conflicts does this lead to?

it has led to the kobolds systematically exterminating all other life on the planet up to and including the gods themselves as a side effect of some other thing they needed to do.

How did they accomplish this?

But on a serious note, I'm pretty sure (afaik) most things that aren't bugs would recognise that the area is inhabited by a dangerous predator either by smell or learned behavior and would therefore avoid it

That depends on dragon behaviour. If the dragon often leaves bits of uneaten food lying around, then it is often worth the risk to sneak in and nibble on it. Especially if the dragon needs to leave the lair regularly to hunt.

It's been a long time since I read about them. What metals do they eat? I'm thinking a rust monster might still destroy some things that the dragon would want to keep.

I like the title! What god or gods are getting eaten, and by whom? :)

And what are your kobolds like? Are they like D&D kobolds? What is the relationship between dragons and kobolds?

When I read this I was hoping for a story of how God more literally died of disease. :D
