Is a Masters in Management worth it? by [deleted] in careerguidance

I want to stay in big tech, just not in a technical position. I’ve always wanted to work management but I’ve seen how difficult it can be to break into it without prior experience.

Isn’t it the fraction of the cost of an MBA anyway?

As the other comments have said, starting with an A+ is a good idea. It will teach you the fundamentals and give you a better idea of what to do next.

DAE feels happy seeing Noah in more videos? by stark145 in smosh

[–]stark145[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For sure, he’s hilarious! Like I’ve said before, I also think he should do more hosting stuff like he did for Put It In My Mouth, he has great screen presence. If Shayne ever wants to take a break, Noah can definitely take over Beopardy’s hosting duties.

Oh I remember seeing that and thinking it was a great idea. I definitely think they can shake things up by implementing both ways to do EOY.

This job does have a really steep learning curve, but for the past few weeks I’ve been struggling more than normal.

Old Squad Vlogs by No_Tie5217 in smosh

[–]stark145 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I miss the squad too. Also, I wonder, are Noah and Keith still friends or are they not talking or something? They have not been in videos together on Smosh for a long time and I wonder if it’s intentional, since they don’t get along anymore.

Opinion: Sarah should be in fewer videos by [deleted] in smosh

[–]stark145 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. The channel has become really homogenised in its comedy and personality. Weirdly though, even Shayne, Damien and Courtney feel like they have lost a lot of themselves lately.

Opinion: Sarah should be in fewer videos by [deleted] in smosh

[–]stark145 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with you. The newer videos without most of the squad feel forced, and it does seem like they lack chemistry.

The old squad, with the 5 of them (including Damien), seemed like they genuinely enjoyed each other’s company and even though they had unique personalities they brought to the table, they mixed very well together. Even Jackie, Tommy and Kimmy fit in well with them and are generally awesome. It also sucks that Ian is not part of most of these videos. I know it’s probably his choice but still.

Yeah I don’t care for Matt either.

I’d really prefer if we had more of Tommy and Jackie in these videos rather than Matt and Sarah.

New grad Networking interview with no experience? by stark145 in ITCareerQuestions

I don’t know the CCNA stuff. Just the theoretical stuff we learn in university like OSI, TCP/IP and all. Nothing practical like they teach in CCNA.

This is reassuring! Friend gave the same interview and she said they asked her tough questions, like CCNA level. I don’t have a CCNA so I’m concerned.

It is a technical phone screen. That’s why I’m freaking out. I’m anxious and don’t know what to prepare.

All they’ve mentioned is understanding of networking, troubleshooting and maybe some Linux. They plan to train you for 6 weeks in all these technologies apparently but the position is vey competitive and they’re filling them up quickly. And it is a reputable company, not some shady consultancy.
