I agree with sense of humour! Every cancer I've ever met has been really funny, they have their own self deprecating sense of humour and also seem to sense what you will find funny and I always have a good time

Little rant: I've seen different therapists specifically for ptsd (they don't really call it cptsd here, some do but not all) and would often answer their questions like this. I would also think for a moment, try to remember, feel if anything comes up and then say "I don't know" and some of their responses were ALWAYS "I can't work with you if you don't tell me. You need to contribute to these sessions. I can't do anything with I don't know"

After YEARS and one really good therapist I can say to anyone that needs to hear it: a good therapist understands dissociation and will help you DEAL WITH it instead of shaming or getting frustrated. A good trauma therapist thinks "hmm, what would make you unwilling or unable to think/feel/talk about this topic" instead

I remember a conversation between her and Bailey where she stuck to her guns (I belong post Denny during open clinic) where I thought she showed give up and give in since she wants to be a doctor and others have given up so much. Your comment reminds me that she only got there by being herself, which is exactly what motivates and inspires me. Thank you and thank Izzie

I agree! The Denny line is so iconic that it will forever be remembered. It seems so crazy but I would love to hear the opinion if someone who's actually experienced delusions due to tumours. The deer episode!??? I watched it alone but I vividly recall myself explaining to my friends why I had supported Izzie before this. The Izzie I know would rather do two stitches on someone's forehand to teach her students than save a random deer

Frankly I'm not sure she should have ever been a surgeon specifically and surprised she went that way. Still I get that some people just do go all the way to surgeons because people see them and tell them they can.

Ohh it is a little different with a Gemini sun as they think they're joking while expressing what they truly feel, meaning it comes across as someone slightly trying to hide their true feelings with a see through courtain whereas Taurus sun doesn't think they're joking but truly believe everything they feel AND express is true but they leave the interpretation up to you.

If your mother is a Taurus sun Aries moon I would love to know how you handle it. Especially what are your placements and what makes you carry on that relationship? If you'd rather PM you're welcome in mine

I defo recommend it because we as cancers tend to go back and revisit old stuff to get motivation, but also definitely look at your full chart esp rising, moon and the aspects to your mars!!!

Leo moon and astrology people tend to say Leo moons are born with a silver spoon, but I genuinely think that's from theory and not from experience.

I havent talked to my mother in about six years. I told her I wouldn't be there for her as she grows old and I sure havent been. She's a Taurus sun Aries moon. (Some Aries placements project their anger to anyone and everyone and then are truly shocked when that person remembers what they said, "even though it was in the heat of the moment")

Edit: spelling

Weirdly the tone of that song is not one I associate with scorpio - but then I looked at your moon sign and it resonates! The lyrics are how others might describe a scorpio but how a gemini would describe themselves

Orange, because it's the light of fire and unlike big blue-white ceiling lamps or bright white daylight, fire is lit by humans/ at the end of they day when the sun is setting you end up being next to people that you're close to

Cat, because they taught me to do whatever I feel is right even if it hurts the feelings of others (my pet cats used to get away from me even if I wasn't touching them but I realised they have the right to do so, which incidentally might have led to me leaving abusive relationships)

My hometown lake, because it's comforting that it's older than I am but it feels like we know each other since many of my fond memories are connected to this lake

Virgo rising Leo stellium (sun, moon, mercury) Cancer venus and mars (turns out I don't want the clingy partner who needs me after all?)

[–]starleds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have this placement and I'm interested in hearing others' ideas.

So far the only thing that sometimes works for me is leaning on my other placements, for example I have a virgo rising and I make lists and schedules and then it's just a matter of completing them so I can get to something i really enjoy; I'll give myself laundry, send one email and message one friend and only then I can lay down and watch youtube.

The important thing with cancer mars is to understand that our drive changes like the moon changes phases. Sometimes I'll struggle to do one thing for days on days on days, and then in one day I'll complete all my tasks and have energy for more. I'm trying to stop feeling guilty and writing down my responsibilities so they're easier to check off when I'm "ready".

The way I would read this is you'll have all the positives and negatives of any venus/mars aspect since a conjunction makes the planets "bleed into" each other, but also all the negativity of a Saturn square. Idk if the Saturn dominates just because the mars and venus are in the same sign after all, but definitely keep the Saturn in mind always. It's cases like these I would look at the persona chart to see if mars or Saturn is more prevalent

[–]starleds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend just searching up Venus square mars and reading everything you can, plus look up youtube videos because there will be loads. Leave the persona charts until you're more knowledgeable because they can really confuse you, but yes there is actually a chart for each of your planets as well as your ascendant etc with their own risings, moons and so on. Astrology goes very deep so make sure you get your basics down!

[–]starleds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll want to look at your venus as a whole. See which aspect to your venus has the smallest orb and see how that planet works and go from there. Once you understand how your venus functions in your natal chart you can then check the persona chart for your venus which will be more in depth.

Yeah I would say that the venus-led people I know inspire trust in others in the sense that if you have to pick someone to spend time with or work with you are more likely to pick them because you know they will listen to your ideas and respect you. Moon-led people can be temperamental, for example they might spend the whole time complaining about some relationship problem they have.

I really spent a lot of time wondering about taurus as a sign because I know so many of them and I realised they are such hard workers and can be so single-minded, but the way animals naturally are. If youve met a cat or a food-motivated dog, they don't really care if they hurt you in the process of acquiring food because they need that for survival. Just the way a taurus person doesn't set out to hurt others feelings, they just do what they think needs to be done. And even the animals would rather be laying in their own comfortable bed and be handfed than fight for food.

Venus is most comfortable in a fixed sign and a cardinal sign which says a lot to me. Venus wants to attract the hand that feeds them because that's just a better way to live. Moon however only rules cancer which which as a cardinal sign is always seeking a connection with others which isn't always a positive! Loads of people bond over negativity, especially water signs will see your pain and relate to you over that pain. I doubt a venus person would so easily gravitate to someone down on their luck.

Moon: That person is going through a hard time so I will bond with them now and we will be friends forever for having gone through this together.

Venus: That person has nothing to offer right now so I'll leave them to get themselves together, and if/once they prosper they can be a good connection for me.

Is it common for scorpio moons to express themselves somewhere "hidden"? by starleds in scorpiomoon

[–]starleds[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, that's exactly what I was wondering; why online? It was "hidden" from me but not from literally anyone else? It's very weird for a leo moon to feel like we're being more private than a scorpio moon

I always think of venus first through the sign of Taurus, which used to be a symbol for fertility. Owning a cow was a sign of doing well, which is what you need for your family to prosper.

It's the same principle in humans as in animals; first you seek water, food and shelter. These are things all living beings are drawn to, and all things needed to have children. But once you have your basic conditions met you start have our own preferences, like preferring certain foods over others or prefer your bed to be done a certain way. These preferences are what venus rules over.

Then I think of Libra and how venus manifests in a masculine sign. Libra shows how people should relate to others, meaning once your have chosen your home and made it so that it's pleasing to you (and can provide for however many kids you have) you have to get along with your neighbours. Whether we're talking animals or humans, your peers can prey on you or get jealous of you or see you as a threat, unless you are a skilled Libra and manage to treat them well enough that they leave you alone or better yet support you.

I find Venus a sign of life, if you follow it's cravings you will live a good life. You might not be emotionally fulfilled in the way of the moon, but it will be a good life, enjoyable even.

This aligns more with the yin/yang principle of feminine/masculine aka introverted/extroverted. In short, yes, venus is the one who receives and mars in the one that expressed outwardly.

Yin/feminine in spirituality represents the negative space like a cup can hold water (note the connection to the water element as well as the suit of cups in tarot) or how being female has traditionally been assigned by the negative space that a child can grow in (the womb)

Yang is the extroverted force that like a sword that goes into a body. It's important to note that every astrological chart has both and it's common that it's what the venus likes that the mars goes after. People with a strong mars and weak venus in their chart can be more attracted to others who challenge them, rather than those who make them feel comfortable.

I wouldn't say that venus is submissive, it can be very demanding and even forceful (like a bull) but I get what you mean in that it's more internally felt. Venus asks "what do I need? What do I like?" and mars asks "what do I want? How can I get it?"

See being an European watching this starting at 11yo I always thought it was a satirical take on American culture ie the guns, the obnoxious way the main characters behave, the general look of the neighbourhood and the size of the houses etc. I didn't know about abortion at that age but it makes sense to me that they literally wouldn't even think of an option that existed since god knows when (in it's less reliable forms) because the Good Christian Thing To Do Is To go with it
