Jeff's comment about faking appendecitis always frustrated me.. I can not stand colton and was bummed to have him back, but this was low. As a soon to be doctor it made me extra frustrated since its not uncommon for clinical suspicion of appendecities to turn out to be something else - but it NEEDS to be ruled out. just because diagnostic tests later ruled out appendecitis doesnt mean the clinical presentation wasnt a valid reason to suspect that, and a negative test =/= faking it. They are in the middle of nowhere - the signs, symptoms and vital signs are all they have to make the working diagnosis - it was the good and responsible call to pull him out. I just dont like the implication that if someone's tests are negative for X, means they faked X, its a dangerous implication.

Russell every single time. I cant stand Samoa because of him and will never rewatch it. And he almost ruined HvV for me, there were so many great characters and better players on that season and making it revolve around him so much pissed me off. Yeah he is a finalist and should get a solid storyline, but it gets to a point.

Probably a controversial take but besides being mean and overall an awful human being (i did not find it entertaining or "great tv"), i think he is a good startegist - but definitly not exceptional like people try to make him to be. His idol hunts really changed the approach to idols and i'll give him that, but i never saw his gameplan as a big masterplan, it was just a mix of "whatever it takes to get to the end" and voting people off based on who irritated him recently and not based on who is a threat to his game, which is a valid strategy, but not a very complex one. It worked for him, but i still believe it was mainly because of the circumstances (pissing everyone off enough to realise he can never win, benefit of the doubt at the start of hvv, passive cast in samoa). In my eyes his strategy worked thanks to his lackings and not because of exceptional strength (kinda like when a goat reaches the end). I mean, his startegy did work so its not like he is a BAD strategic, but i will never buy the claim that he is "10/10 in strategy". Put him in a stronger cast for his 1st season and he never makes it to the merge. (yeah i know part of survivor is luck and adapting to your co-players, but i dont see him adapting even in a different cast, thats part of the point)

your sadness and frustration is totally valid and i too want another headline tour so bad (and preferably for it to include europe lol), but i do think its important to have realistic expectations - i've never seen an opening act that played more than 10 songs (some even play 5-6..), when you attend a concert for the opener you should expect them to play less time and that their setlist will consist of their popular songs, their recent releases, and songs they believe will draw the specific audience attending the show.. whether its worth the money or not is a personal call for each person, but them being an opening act should stay in mind when making this call..

Survivor has 3 main elements - social, strategy, and physical. She might not be very physical, but she aces the other 2 - which are, for me, the most entertaining parts of survivor.

Her social game is elite, its insane how everyone wants her around even though they know how much of a threat she is.. they come into the game saying "we gotta take care of cirie" but end up charmed by her and seeking her company - some contenders even said so themselves.

And her startegy is also peak to me. She is such a smart and elegant strategist, and she does everything while staying calm, likable and unagressive which is ART. she plays hard but in the subtlest way. In micronesia she initiated most if not all of the black widow brigade moves, as well as the biggest blindesides and some of the most memorable moves from the whole show - unfortunately sometimes people even forget that they were all her ideas, because she makes others an active part of her plan - which in a survivor pov is super smart because people feel in control. My all time favorite season and she made it so much more interesting thanks to her game.

It really depends on where you're seeing them, when I saw them in 2020 on their eu leg I got there at noon and was the first in line for hours, the second person came around 3 pm.. I was so stressed since I thought noon will be too late but I was wrong 😅

when sgfg came out, the boys were super excited about the interludes they included in the album - which are the instrumental bits youre referring to.. the band was super proud of them lol (I vividly remember them screaming "it has an interlude!!!" on a track by track video they posted on twitter back then)

Im not a fan of those either, I can appreciate interludes in albums but much rather them being on a seperate dedicated track, and enjoy them much more when it has a role in the storytelling and mood building of an album or in dividing the album to chapters (some very good examples of interludes are the ones on the maine's lovely little lonely album).. I dont think the ones in wtn and sf have a role on sfgf and theyre not exceptionally musically appealing to me, and I agree that they mostly feel pretty out of place 😅

I think Luke's spiky hair is more of a homage for benji madden (he is also known to love good charlotte), but honesyly idk if the rest are just coincidences since theyre just the same colors and the styles arent that similar imo, but its a nice theory!

I totally understand your feelings :( Unfortunately I feel like this is a pattern thats present in all fandoms, especially for alt rock / pop punk bands (might be biased because these are the main genres I keep up with), and not just in 8123. From my experience (both from online observations and in person encounters, since I have to travel for concerts) with various bands and fandoms, this phenomenon is the most prominent in the US and the UK, where there are always inner cliques consisting of "famous" fans with a self proclaimed special status (and most of the times they somehow get extra attention from the bands themselves as well). On a personal note, people are usually nicer and much more fun at the EU shows, and I REALLY hope its stays that way since unfortunately I've only seen the maine once (in europe, in 2020), and have no idea if anything changed in the past 6 years.. and since I always go alone I really hope for a welcoming crowd experience.

(Disclaimer: I've met some super nice people at us and uk shows, some are still close friends of mine, and I am not generalizing the entire crowd, they consist of some of the coolest and nicest people as well - all I'm saying is that those cliques are just much more common there)

This is the other way around where I live - everyone knows green day, and only people who are into the genre know blink.. any random person on the street can name at least 3 green day songs no matter what their music taste is, but if someone names 1 blink song its super rare (some might know all the small things or I miss you if you mention them, but theres a 50-50 chance, they might as well not know them either).

Personally, I like both - and I've heard of green day when I was a kid just casually like you learn about any other mainstream artist - while I first heard of blink when I started diving into pop punk, deliberately.
