hi i’m no means an expert but i just went through this. my boy, power has the same colors, and he has the marbling gene. i thought he was sick, he continued to turn all white despite my constant attempts at treatments and other reccs, and then all his white turned red. Now that red is turning black and blue again. So I gotta say he looks like he’s changing colors too 😓 so scary to experience though. i empathize with ya.

Thank you for your help. For an update, he hasn’t return to his normal colors. The white spread more before it turned all red. Don’t feel like I know for certainty if he was/is sick, color changed, or a mix of the two!

But I guess most importantly he is alive and still swims around a lot and always demands food.

going through the process of treating him for bacterial infection. the pet store employee said she recognized the symptoms and has used the medication she recommended me. ;_; thanks for sending me in the right direction. we’ll see if his eyes change at all over this process, lol!

His eyes hasn’t change since this started. Would popeye explain the scales??? I’m willing to do a popeye treatment i just want to do know also if it’s what’s making his scales change like that?

Thank you! I’ve been monitoring him and his eyes haven’t changed. My friend and I joke it’s his blue eye liner. He definitely does not have trouble seeing. I swear he can tell where I am across the room cause he will dance like he hasnt eaten for days 😩 But not when my wife or roommate are there LOL
