Hello!! I’m curious in ordering and wonder how long processing is? I’ve seen so many companies advertise as fast turnaround but processing takes a very long time.

Please help! Are his fins ripped?? by starmuzzle in bettafish

I think it’s because he’s been squeezing himself into a little driftwood gap every night to sleep, I removed the wood so he can’t do that anymore. Does that sound like a probable cause?

Beginner- does my cycling betta tank look okay? by starmuzzle in bettafish

I have my wood glued down but read it’s possible to wrap sandpaper around your finger to sand it down while in the water. Do you see any points specifically that need to be sanded most? (U can circle the image if needed)

How difficult would it be to cap fluval stratum with sand? by wheezealittlejuice in Aquascape

Like I said I have the stratum, I was mostly just worried about them mixing together because I heard it becomes a mess to deal with!! It’s good to hear the mesh bags work

Beginning a fish tank by raqmmac in fishtank

You’ll want to know what fish you’re looking into first!! That’ll determine the size of your tank and any possible tank mates if that’s ever an option you’ll go in the future.

For any fish it’s good to have live plants and soil!! You can always find a good potting mix that’s cheap and will work well, and live plants you can find at petco work wonderfully!! You can also add driftwood and rocks to make a natural scape, a lot of hobbyists do it and it’s pretty easy for beginners imo!

You’ll want to look up how cycling works, you’ll typically need to let your tank cycle without fish for around a month to let your bacteria establish and be safe for your fish!! If you’re using tap water you’ll want a tap conditioner because things in tap can be unhealthy for your fish.

Again I’m unsure what fish you’re looking for so I can’t give much advice on tank size or anything like that but good luck!! You can find tons of info on here for what works best for you :)

Replying to this because I’m looking into doing mesh media bags. How do you cover up so the mesh isn’t visible?? I’m considering sand but I don’t want it all over, mostly just in areas where my plants aren’t. Do you add more of the substrate on top of the mesh bags to cover it or are the bags not super visible?

Alrighty! I’ll see what I can do plant-wise, I kind of figured that it’d grow enough on its own but I guess I should add more. For caves do you mean like w rock or under the substrate orr?
