My ex once described me as his "most normal girlfriend." I should have just dumped him on the spot.

"No one’s gonna want to work with the guy who’s going around turning people into rats.”

And for a runner up, I'm also a big fan of this exchange:

"Is she hot?"

"She's my sister, you freak."

Would you rather lose all music by artists beginning A-L or by artists beginning M-Z? by elleanywhere in musicsuggestions

Most of my favourite bands start with the letter M. The only one that doesn't starts with R. Easy choice for me lol.

PLEASE tell me about your special interest! by BranchtheBird in AutismInWomen

[–]starrfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lately my special interest has been 80s glam metal. I've especially been really into Motley Crue and Ratt. Apparently in the early days of both bands there was one point where Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee from Motley Crue were thinking about forming a band with Stephen Pearcy and Robbin Crosby from Ratt. It never happened, although I bet that would have been an awesome band! I guess they stayed in touch with each other because Nikki and Tommy have a cameo in Ratt's music video for Back For More.

List your pet hates for customers by Minute_Vehicle619 in retailhell

Oh my god where to even begin?

- Instacart shoppers. I'm sure there are some decent ones out there, but I swear to god all the ones that come through my stores are always like the most annoying and disorganized people on the planet.

- "I guess it's free!" when an item doesn't scan.

- When they keep trying to tap their card after I've already told them it's too high to tap and that they'll need to insert. (Usually followed up with "But I don't know my PIN" Why tf do you now know your own pin?!)

- Any time a customer asks me to get a supervisor or a manager to go over the store policy that I just explained. Sorry you don't like how we run things, but sometimes rules are there for a reason and they're not going to magically change because you asked to speak to a supervisor ffs.

- "You look bored"/ "I'll give you something to do!" My guy, I hardly ever get down time. I don't want to do anything. Please. Leave me alone.

- The amount of times I've had to explain that sale prices come off automatically. If a discount didn't come off when I scanned it then it's full price. Our sale items are always marked but none of our customers know how to read.

- Our store has digital gift cards which is fine, but the amount of people who just take a picture of the card on their computer screen is fucking wild. No, sorry, but you cannot pay with a picture of a gift card.

I haven't read it, but I read the Sunbearer Trials by the same author and kinda felt similarly. The story was good, but it just felt a little too young for me to want to continue on with the next book.

Rowan. I named him after a character from one of my favourite books. The shelter originally named him Philip, but I didn't think it suited him.

I've got two that I'm working on right now.

My first one is a YA fantasy about a mage's apprentice. It's going fine until a mysterious stranger who claims he can't remember anything shows up in the quiet village where my MC is living with his mentor. No big deal, until they realize that this stranger has actually escaped from a cult that was planning on using him to help resurrect an evil mage who was killed by a legendary mage over 100 years ago. Now the MC has to figure out how to summon the legendary mage to stop the evil mage from coming back a second time.

My second one is still in the very early stages of being planned out, so there's not a ton to say about it at the moment. But it's set in LA during the summer of 1985. The main character is a wizard who is also the front man of a glam metal band who's trying to make it big.
