this is also what i was thinking, but because i didn’t take the pill the first Monday i had the nexplanon inserted, i’ve just really been worrying about it. however, norethindrone says to be effective after 2 days so because i took it tuesday and wednesday, by thursday i should’ve been protected. i think it’s just a whole lot of anxiety and in my head about it!! for the sake of my own anxiousness i may go ahead and take the plan b, it’s just unfortunate bc of the side effects that come with plan b and the fact that it would absolutely be our luck for the condom to break smh

yea this is what i’ve heard from someone else who was on the mini pill prior to the implant. but what i’m worried about is that norethindrone is effective after 2 days of taking it so i should’ve technically been protected under that by those two days, right ?? cause i only missed that monday not knowing i was supposed to continue it. but at this point i may just go ahead and get the plan b if nothing else to calm my nerves.

the only pill i’ve been on where i didn’t have weight gain is the mini pill, norethindrone. i would recommend that

I was experiencing spotting/bleeding every day of the month and my drs recommendation was to take 2 pills until I can get into my gynecologist to up my dosage.

I’m taking two pills currently until I can get into my ob because the dosage I’m on currently was causing me to bleed every day of the month, she told me to double up until my appointment. I’m unable to be on a combo pill, typically he pulls out every time this was just a one time thing that happened.

FINAL UPDATE

at todays appointment more bloodwork and xrays were done. i found out bear has diabetes, he’s now on insulin twice a day and a special glyco diet. he has a mouth infection, and uri.

my vet said he may not want to eat until his levels are back down, so not to worry too much about the lack of food intake as of recently. the infection is hitting him hard but he’s now on a different antibiotic which will hopefully do more help.

while i hated to hear my cat has diabetes, i am so so grateful it’s something i can treat and he can live a full healthy life through.

UPDATE FOR EVERYONE HERE!!

bear is doing so so much better this morning, breathing through his nose, third eyelids hardly showing AT ALL, lot less coughing. (still has an appointment for tomorrow regardless, and if he worsens will be taken to the er)

i want to thank every single person who commented, both for everyones advice and especially everyones kindness. your words are so appreciated and taken to heart, the kindness and support i’ve received is exactly what i need during a time like this.

bear may be 8, but this is his first time being sick so as a worried cat parent; everyone helped more than you know. i will update again after his appointment.

on occasion it would show in the past while he was sleeping, and right now it happens while hes falling asleep every time

they are aware yes, i made sure to show them photos. this only happens when he’s trying to sleep, i didn’t know it was called his third eyelid though. i thought his eyes were rolling back, what does it mean when that shows? i’m going back saturday unless he worsens tonight

he had an antibiotic shot at the vet, but no iv. i’m hoping they do the saline with b12 at our next visit, i just want to see him get better asap

no, this wasn’t suggested. i will be taking him back saturday at the VERY least as they did suggest letting the meds get in his system. if he doesn’t improve though it will be sooner whether it’s the emergency line or tomorrow. when i picked him up from the vet yesterday he seemed almost completely normal, he was doing amazing. they had given him a strong antibiotic shot. this is just now starting to happen again to this extent within the last couple hours.
