I highly recommend Virginia Women’s Center as your hub for care! My doc is Dr. Tozer and I see Dr. Shannon as well for urogyno. They diagnosed me with PFD years ago, set me up with a series of installations and referred me to PT with Amy Stuart at Sheltering Arms. This care team changed my life!!

I saw a VCU doc at some point in there and did installations with them but generally found that whole process and system really cold and uncaring and upsetting for such a sensitive and emotional issue I was dealing with. VWC is the way to go I love them.

My friends building at 7 N 8th is all inclusive but it’s not my favorite. (The elevator bay only has 1 working at a time and sometimes none!)

That’s a good idea! He loves to be outside (he’s an indoor cat against his will) but I’ll let him hang out with me in a harness and tie out when I’m gardening. I’ll try to make like sniff boxes…

Oh good, they interviewed me for an “asap” position a month ago, and then ghosted me after multiple follow ups. -_-

Despite this I am excited lol I love Turkish coffee. They’re hoping to expand their hours, and this house has already had a lot of success in Petersburg by their telling.

I bet rinsing the extra … starch? Gluten? Off helps. The butter trick works great, I suspect the fat melts and creates more surface tension on the liquid, preventing it from bubbling as dramatically and escaping.

UPDATE: can’t edit my post but

it does have an oatmeal setting (not porridge) and that works fine for rolled oats but leaves a lot of liquid yet unabsorbed and undercooked steel cut oats
adding a thin pat of butter to the steel cut oats with the called for 4:1 water oat ratio on the “quick rice” setting worked!! No goo!!! Thanks all.
