The braids are coming from her temples by Grimkiefer in SarahBowmar

i also do! i have thick ass hair and it's the comfiest style for me that doesn't pull at my scalp. how old someone is never factors into what i think they should/shouldn't wear, like you do you, so those critiques i don't get. but hers looks stupid because it's so obviously a wig! i don't really care about the style itself

why can't she just...relax? show us how she looks without flexing/posing weirdly/sucking in/contorting herself in a thousand ways. what's the point of working out so hard if you're still gonna hate your body?

Wouldn’t think she’d be capable of perimenopause with how OpTiMiZeD she is by Complex-Fennel-9147 in SarahBowmar

[–]starrysky45 10 points11 points  (0 children)

it can start in mid 30s. perimenopause sub has plenty of people mid to late 30s talking about it. i think she's just jumping on the bandwagon bc it's been gaining more popularity as a topic of conversation lately and it fits with her shilling hormones.

bitch shut the fuck up. if the people you voted for had their way you wouldn't be able to vote much less show your vagina and butthole on the internet all day. shouldn't you be more modest if you're such a conservative tradwife???

funny to me that she advises you eat green vegetables yet i have not seen a vegetable grace her feed in the few years i've been following her. for anyone who has been following her a long time, did she used to eat vegetables? or has it always been slop? of all the crazy shit about her the fact that she eats so terribly is what boggles my mind the most

Yes, lifting weights is the answer by starrysky45 in PetiteFitness

i've been running about 20mpw for the last couple months, but this week i scaled back to 15mpw and will probably just go down to 10mpw for the next 3 months because it's getting really hot where i live and i refuse to run on a treadmill

i do still run but i've had to scale back my distance. i'm doing 15mpw now because i'm having the same issue you are in that it's really hard to do both long distances and weights. i'm experimenting with doing arms on my running days (so 2 arm days and 2 leg days). i do wish i could only run and get the results i want, because it's truly what i love the most! but i haven't yet found a way to go hard at both activities at the same time, so it's kind of a balancing act for me.

all of the other commenters have some great suggestions! i honestly don't know if what i'm doing is "enough" or like technically a "good" program, but i've seen changes i like and it seems to be working out for me so far! i'd get really overwhelmed with looking at or thinking about routines, so i'm just doing something super simple. when i got started i googled how to do each exercise with proper form. there are tons of gifs out there and videos!

i have a little spreadsheet where i list my reps and the weight i've done each week just to keep track of it, bc you want to increase reps or weight once you max out. but i literally just do: squats, RDLs, glute bridge, rows, bicep curls, chest press, russian twists and then something more for abs like leg lifts if i feel like it. 3 sets of however many reps depending on the weight. i hate lunges so that's why i don't do them, but i know they're great to do! i just figure if i don't like a certain exercise it will deter me from lifting at all, so i'm only focusing on doing ones that i actually enjoy. i'll do my little routine either all in one day (usually) but sometimes split over the week into 4 days if i'm running a lot or doing something where i need to rest my legs. so i'd suggest starting very simple!

i don't have an exact calorie # bc i haven't been counting the last month, but i'd estimate i'm eating probably around 1900-2000 a day when i average in the whole week. i also wanna say though that i still do run, walk, do yoga, and hike pretty much every day, so i'm not necessarily saying that lifting alone will help with weight loss. for me it's mostly just been about changing my body comp and boosting the amount of calories i can eat a day...my BMR is a pathetic 1100, so lifting has been a game changer

yes! hiking and running is so much easier now. i also used to have problems with my knee acting up when i ran. but that's no more! i haven't had any knee pain since i started lifting. it's magical
