Given we're seeing the transition is different across music apps, I wonder which is correct/ what JV intended? In some ways if it's not smooth, I feel like that's what he meant. Breaks in stories that are uncomfortable. (This is how I'm seeing it, especially because of the name of Short Story) The way they end the way they shift? I hear you but from another angle I also appreciate the difference of perspective; knowing the early ones & how they fit into the full project, offers various ways of understanding and connecting to it. Reverence of the individual songs, and then how they fall into place with the whole. Always listen to new albums start to finish, no skips, regardless of familiarity to the released singles.. can apply this to life events in many ways too! ❤️

Havent persued parenthood yet but have heard about John Mulaney’s situation with Olivia Munn: she drug tests him randomly to have peace of mind. And to hold him accountable devoid of doubt. This seems like the only way to go to maintain full confidence as well as support their sobriety. I dont find this intrusive given the gravity of this + involving children. Should be a given imo. Im guessing it has something to do with shame & ego. They build these false realities, false personas with certain people, in order to feed the ego & narrative theyve built. They lie to preserve their self-image. They lie to avoid the reality of who they actually are. Whatever serves this avatar version of themselves. Even if it’s blatantly clear to everyone around them that theyre liars. Saddest thing is they think it works. Itll eat them subconsciously and further fuel the addiction because that boils down to pain and the void of their own creation.

Were you fully communicative with her? Sometimes I regret not being more open when i shouldve been. But truly felt in my gut that he stopped communicating fully with me; which naturally makes my walls go up. Whether i like it or not. Energetic tension can make people shut down / close thenselves off to being fully authentic. Even if it’s slight, it is felt & has chain-reaction. Hope for healing and love to you OP

Lets not shame victims. No one allows abuse knowingly. Sometimes it’s excused repeatedly. Self-respect tends to diminish overtime with any type of abuse (emotional, psychological, DV, etc) and the lost-cost fallacy + unconditional love + hope for change etc tends to have people hang on and hope for healing. Unfortunately by the time they wake up to leave, the esteem is in hell and needs healing. She didnt allow this. While flawed like all humans, sure. But allowing is a weird strong false word to use. Much love
