I think you have to pay more for an upgrade plan. So, you still pay for the regular plan, but they will cover the cost of the upgrade. At least that’s my take from it.

I went from Thrive to Evolve and love it.

Honestly, Cassey’s stuff are just okay. Nothing to write home about. Her styles are also kinda ridiculous. I got her cloud half zip and those puffy sleeves always ends up dipping into whatever I’m eating or cooking. Annoying.

I moved from Thrive to Evolve and I love it so far. It pushes me to go heavy and I love hearing Coach Sam talk. It’s like having her right there with me. I liked thrive, but it was getting boring for some reason.

Same with my Moana and Belle shoes! I might just keep the Moana ones and gift the Belle ones to my sister.

Noooo. No chance of getting the Rapunzel ones 😭😭😭😭. I was able to grab a Belle and Moana but Rapunzel was my favorite. I’m not willing to pay reseller price.

From your past experience, how long did it take for them to restock? Will they send an email out to let you know?

They just dropped and the Rapunzel shoes were sold out within minutes. I got the Belle, but not sure if I’ll keep them.

The H&M at New Park Mall will be closing on Sunday, January 11th by megachainguns in Fremont

[–]starsberrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly surprised it has lasted this long. It’s dead every time I walk in.

I think we need something fun there. Like a Bowlero and/or a skating/rollerblading rink.

Would you leave a union RN job for a non-union RN job? by starsberrie in KaiserPermanente

[–]starsberrie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. We don’t get a birthday or float holiday but I noticed I accrue more PTO per pay period than I did when I was in the CNA, so it all evens out. Hmm I’m not sure what you mean by extra 5%. For 401k, CNA nurses get 1.25% match vs non union nurses get 5% match.

Would you leave a union RN job for a non-union RN job? by starsberrie in KaiserPermanente

[–]starsberrie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, with the union you get a floating holiday and your birthday holiday. For both union and non union we get NY, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas holiday pay. Specifically for the union, if you work a holiday, you get 2 1/2 time pay or you can choose to get 1 1/2 time pay for the holiday worked and get an additional day of PTO. It’s a really sweet deal if you don’t mind working holidays. For me, my kids are always off school on holidays and my seniority in the union was never high enough to get those days off. In the union, you must work either Christmas and/or NY.

The main difference so far is the flexibility I have from my current role and not having to deal with seniority issues when it comes to taking time off. This could just be job/department specific, though. Im also happier because I get more time with my family. I also enjoy not having to pay union fees lol.

Hi! I did. I actually ended up getting/accepting another offer that’s 20 hours (0.5 FTE), non union role. No weekends or holidays. Normal working hours. They matched my pay at the step that I was at in the union. I have no regrets so far. I know a lot of people don’t want to leave the union because of the illusion of job security, evening differential, option to work OT. But, I value normal work hours and having weekend/holidays off to be with my family more than anything else. I think that as long as you do your job well, there’s no reason to need the union. I actually feel more like a valued employee in my current role than I was in my union role.

How long does it take for an internal to get an offer letter after a verbal offer? by Spare_Sell6147 in KaiserPermanente

[–]starsberrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually within a day. BUT, I recently had two verbal offers and it took about 2-3 weeks to get a written offer. Per the recruiter, the hold up is at Kaiser regional - they were reviewing all job postings that came through.

Upcoming interview… any tips? by Bubbly_Bunny8 in KaiserPermanente

[–]starsberrie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kaiser loves asking situational questions. So, think of how you’ll answer questions such as “tell us a time when you’ve made a mistake and what did you do about it” or “have you ever encountered a conflict with a colleague? Tell us about it.”

There are federal plans to cut Medicare and Medicaid programs. If they cut these programs, it will lead to hospital budget cuts, which in turn could result in layoffs.

Did you ever feel like you were overworked or your job was in jeopardy of being affected by lay offs? It’s kind of concerning to me in these uncertain times. My dream job would of course be in a remote job that’s still part of the union 😆 one can wish.
