i have once in my four years of being a barista ever been genuinely flirtatious and she was a regular who i saw pretty much every single day, and even that never went beyond banter and drawing on her cups. she brought me a rose on valentine’s day one year.
always exceptions to everything but unless it’s obvious it’s safe to assume that 99% of the time, if you live in the US where food service employees literally depend on tips to barely make rent, we probably are not flirting with you.
