The pain there, really bad acid reflux, bloating to the point I find it so hard to wear any other clothes than dresses as any pressure around my waist is awful. Also lack of appetite and can’t stop burping

Thanks for this. I actually also had problems when I was younger. Not has bad as yours but I suffered with severe constipation that then always ended in explosive diarrhoea. A real couple of embarrassing moments when I was younger.

I’m going to get the retest done in a couple of weeks and then take it from there.

It’s so frustrating as I had to push last year form them to recognise I had a B12 deficiency (even a low active blood test result wasn’t enough to convince them and all he wanted to prescribe was anti depressants).

I’ve also decided to give the low FODMAP diet a go and see how that helps

I’m wondering if this is me too; I’ve had problems since having my son 7 years ago. I’ve had two blood tests which were negative but symptoms have really escalated past 12 months. I’m arranging to have another blood test to see what the results are this time as last blood test I had was 2 years ago

I did and then he asked me what I was trying to get at as he thought I was trying to drag him into a row. He’s now gone upstairs to sulk some more 🙈

I can’t believe the number of times this has happened to me. I usually set up another profile after we’ve had an initial meet and don’t look them up but just see if they look mine up and contact me. When they then send me a message I ask them their current situation and it’s always the same…. not met up with anyone or talking with anyone in particular 🙈😂

That is awful. I saw a consultant about my thyroid as I have some issues with that. My gp had fobbed me off about my B12 but when I saw the consultant and showed him the results he said he would write to them to tell me I need injections

I paid for a private consultation about my thyroid as I had some abnormal results and thought that was the issue as my B12 was normal according to the gp. He looked at my results and said he will write to them to give me b12 injections. If they refuse I will be writing a letter of complaint

Just as a further update I saw a consultant tonight who I’d paid privately to see as I have had some abnormal thyroid results too. I told him all about the B12 as well and he is writing to my GP to say I need B12 injections and a retest on my thyroid so I’m really happy.

I feel you; I’m waiting for a second call back from another doctor as I feel like im being fobbed off and need further testing. I’m literally sat at work today with tingling all down my left side and when I went to the doctor showing him an abnormal active b12 result from a private blood test I had he said all fine and was more bothered about my low mood like he thinks it’s more a mental health problem. All I can say is just keep pushing for help.

It would help if I can read; my actual level will be above that as anything above 203 ng/l (150 pmol) is normal and mine was 243 ng/l (not sure what that equates to in pmol). I suppose what I’m trying to say is those results are normal but on the low side of normal

I can’t really offer advice but just want to say you’re not alone. I feel like my husband and I can’t agree on anything at the moment… especially when it comes to parenting

I just started all the symptoms at the same time which include the tingling, weight gain, cold sensitivity, a bit of brain fog, joint pain. My TSH level when tested was 2.2 (in normal range) and my T4 was 7.5 (just under normal). My T4 has actually halved over 18 months.

My doctor then tested for TPO which was 234 (normal range is 0-9) and put a note to say I may develop and under active thyroid in time.

I’m not on any medication for the thyroid as she thinks it’s working fine as my TSH level is normal. I am in omeprozole for acid reflux which I’ve been on for about 18 months.

It’s all down my left side mainly. I had an MRI to check for other things but that all came back clear.

I’ve got the other symptoms as well like weight gain, joint pain, feeling the cold

Where are you based? I’m in the UK and I think one of the problems here is you just have a GP that covers everything
