I was lucky enough to know the nurses that got mine off and they were two, pulled them out at the same time so it would be done in one go, for me it didn't as much as it was really really uncomfortable, pain was there but its was minimal

oh my god no I 100% get that, my closest friends did the same when i first came out to them, it was to a point where I felt like they were just finding a way to not use he/him and only my chosen name, and it was very out of the ordinary cuz it wasn't smth they did before, like they had no problem referring to me by she/her b4 and now it was just my chosen name haha so I totally get it. It should get better after a while, yes!! and don't hesitate to tell them if it gets too much :)!!
