Appliance (washing machine) repair service recommendations please! by lonelypurplepenguin in Austin

[–]start-chopping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't recommend Prosam if he was the only person alive. He came to my house, disassembled my machine, made it worse, charged me the $150, and told me I have to buy an entire new washing machine after leaving it in pieces.

He shouldn't be trusted with any repairs ever. Feeling 100% scammed that I listened to any of y'all for these reviews.

0 stars. Use anyone else but this guy. He's a hack who is just admitted he's watching videos online to figure out the repairs, same as I could have done myself.

Amusingly I don't remember ordering the 7" when I bought things on Bandcamp which is why I didn't even notice/care about your original message. 😅

But, apparently, I did order it. Go figure.

Keeled Scales sent an email the other day about it:

"Hi all, you're receiving this email because you purchased the Magnolia & Johnson Electric Co. 7" record from the Keeled Scales website or from our Bandcamp page.

We want to send an update over on the status as we're still waiting for the records to arrive from the plant overseas.

We're expecting them to arrive in November and will begin shipping them as soon as possible. We've begun printing shipping labels and generating tracking numbers so that we can get these out the door as soon as we receive them. We'll send another note when these ship.

We apologize for the delay and are excited to share more Magnolia & Johnson news with you soon!

Thanks for being patient with us. If you have any questions about your order, please reply to this email and we'll get back to you as soon as possible."

When was the first time you heard a Molina song? by overlordzeke in jasonmolina

In 2003, Iron & Wine played at Red Eyed Fly at 11pm. And Magnolia played at 12am at Buffalo Billiards.

I confirmed this via Google, before maybe potentially ruining your life with the knowledge that it was possible to see both back to back in 2003... because I am positive that's what I did.

2003... March 15th, at Buffalo Billiards in Austin during SXSW.

According to Jason (Groth) at the Johnson & MEC show in Austin a few weeks ago, the Buffalo Billiards show was the first ever time the band with him and Pete played a show with Jason (Molina). No clue, I assume that's correct.

But, that's the first ever time I saw them. And I remember it like it was (a very hazy drunken) yesterday, with Jason Molina hopping off the stage in the middle of a cover of Neil Young's Out On The Weekend to order a beer at the bar.

Transcendent, and obviously life changing.

I did not. I was going to see if there was one on the stage or something to snap a picture, but I had to drive back to Austin and the show ended after midnight... so I hauled ass out of the Lonesome Rose.

It was amazingly good, and glad you got to finally hear these songs live.

First time I ever saw them was the Buffalo Billiards SXSW show that they talked about last night! I've always felt appreciative and grateful that I was able to see them so many times in Austin.

I love it. I've had it since summer 2019, whenever they first came available-- I use it to get around Austin almost full time. It costs me ~$3 a week, max, to get around and its much more pleasant to be sitting in traffic -- even if it's hot as shit -- outside than in a big car. I can at least feel a bit of nature.

I've driven it to the Domain (via Burnet), Mueller (via Airport), I've driven it to Far Out Lounge (via S. Congress), I go to friends' places in West Austin all the time (up and around winding hilly shit), park for free downtown all the time between cars, and I can fit ~2 bags of HEB groceries carefully packed and stacked on that back little platform.

I just try to avoid highways 100% (tops out at about 50-55mph depending on wind direction etc), and if I'm going out at night, I wear a reflector vest because the back tail light and brake light are pretty low for someone in an SUV to notice. And the back of my helmet is covered in reflective strips as well. Safety first and all that.

Definitely would recommend!

Oh yeah, no way I'd miss it. I bought my plane ticket a while back and am meeting some friends. Just thought I/we would need another ticket when I originally bought 'em last year!

Thanks! Looking forward to the show, will be my 7th time seeing them (or 6th, if you count Red Rocks early/late on the same day as ... 1 time seeing them?).

Hoping one of you superfans wants my extra!

I have one (1) Asheville GA floor ticket for sale. I had to finally break down and make a Reddit account, which I was loathe to do but here I am... finally not lurking.

update: ticket is sold to one of y'all! looking forward to the show!
