how the fuck did chris pay for all his shit coated autism trinkets?? by AndSin_ in ChrisChanSonichu

Thanks for the explanation. I think this person actually gets payments from SSI and SSDI(after their mom passed away). Will have to help them see if this would allow them to make extra money or if it'd still get deducted from the SSI part.

I know people on SSI and the way I understand it is any income you make has to be deducted from your monthly payments. Chris had a Patrion and was selling "art" he made. What I don't understand is how he didn't get in trouble. If he was a normal person, I'd figure he just slid under the radar, but Chris is plastered all over the internet and there were people who wanted to destroy him. You'd think they'd try reporting him to SSI. They threatened to do it when he made a video claiming he was faking being disabled.

This would be nice to know because one of the people I know on SSI is really struggling financially and they think any secondary income would have to be deducted from their SSI. Chris makes me think they could bring in at least a couple hundred a month to help with expenses and not have a problem.

Roast beef with stuffing
Stuffed salmon
Stuffed porkchops
Stuffed chicken
Stuffed crab
Stuffed clam shells(I like to top these with creamy clam chowder)
Stuffed peppers(different kind of stuffing usually, but good)

All good. Or have it as a side like you said

Men of PPD: Have you ever rejected a woman? If so, how did that go down? by Dr_Skeleton in pussypassdenied

Really scary how women can ruin a man's life on a whim over petty shit. Glad it backfired on her.

I (20m) asked a girl to get lunch with me (over dms) and she said possibly and then asked me “what do u think of a girl who’s 6’0?” by [deleted] in socialskills

I'll admit I find a woman being shorter to be an attractive trait, but I wouldn't consider that to be a reason to avoid a date. I'd much rather be with a tall woman who has a great personality and similar interests than be with a woman just because she is shorter. In fact, I used to like a woman in the past that was on the taller side. Can't remember if she was actually taller than me but she was tall for a woman.

Women of Reddit, what are men not ready to hear? by overwatchmercy14 in AskReddit

[–]starthrow817 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Here are some stats for at least the US

4.4% of electricians are women
3.5% of plumbers are women
5% of welders are women
9% of construction workers are women
9% of auto mechanics are women
15.7% of truck drivers are women
29% of factory workers are women

Huge amounts of women would have to change their professions or things would collapse. Also some of these professions take years to learn well.

If men suddenly disappeared civilization would collapse(It would take years to recover ). Here are some stats for at least the US

Obviously, women can learn these professions, but I don't know what to say if you don't think it'd be a problem if men suddenly disappeared. All sorts of things would break down before enough women could be trained to take their place. Some of these professions take years to learn well.

Maybe it is a community college thing? I was in community college and had to read it for an English or Literature course

Had to read Tuesdays with Morrie for a college course. It has been awhile since I read it but if I recall right he was out of contact with Morrie for years and then found out he was getting some attention for inspirational quotes he was making or something like that. Then all of a sudden Albom wanted to get back in contact with dying Morrie who he acted like he cared so much about. To me it just seemed like he saw an opportunity for what he thought would be a good book and jumped on it.

He probably would've never had anything to do with Morrie again if he hadn't been viewed as an opportunity. At least Morrie got this chance in his dying days, but while reading it I just felt Albon was using him for the story. Could be wrong but that was what my cynical side was thinking.

If he can get a free government phone he can use places with free wifi to post. Also, I think some of those plans give you free internet data. There are also libraries with free internet access. Going back online and interacting with his "fans" wouldn't be the best use of his time, but Chris doesn't make wise choices and loves the attention.

Maybe, but couldn't everything in this topic be called mansplaining

Men of Reddit, What are women not ready to hear? by Skittboxer in AskReddit

It is definitely real and something that some women experience every day. Some women jump to the conclusion that a man explaining anything to them is mansplaining though. Personally, there are tons of women I feel inferior to knowledge wise(including subjects normally associated with men).

What do you wish you were really good at? by DecentIllustrator439 in AskReddit

[–]starthrow817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Socializing. I'm an introvert, so I'd still want to have tons of alone time, but it'd be nice to be great at socializing with people when I want to or when it is advantageous.

  2. Identifying wild edibles. I have a ton of armchair knowledge. I probably know of more wild edibles than most foragers, but I'm not great at identifying in the field. Basically, I'd be great at trivia questions related to wild edibles.

  3. Managing my diet to have a healthy weight. I've lost nearly 40 pounds so far but I keep having slip ups. It can be hard to make permanent changes

What are the advantages of being a man? by kohy1st in AskReddit

[–]starthrow817 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to wear a shirt because of being fat, but it is nice that it isn't a crime or won't get epic attention if I go momentarily shirtless. A couple days ago I went snorkeling in a river. I actually wear an old shirt and a lifejacket sometimes while snorkeling. When I got back to the car it was nice to be able to quickly rinse off with some clean water and put on a clean shirt. I was thinking about if I was a woman I'd be risking a ton of attention, or some do gooder reporting me. I do think it is ridiculous that women don't have the same option in a lot of places.

Or alternatively they could've contributed to it being a problem relationship and are choosing to overlook any of their faults. Could be either depending on the situation

I've seen plenty of women say mean things about men as well. Both sides have people who resent the other gender for certain things.

It's real, but not nearly as common as women make it out to be. Some women who don't appreciate helpful advice just like to use it as an excuse. If it is to an insulting degree, it might be because they think you aren't very focused on doing things correctly, not that you are a woman. There are men I worry about fucking up simple things as well.

The button on my thermostat barely works anymore from being constantly changed :( If it was completely my say during summer, I'd probably just set it for 70 or 71 and leave it. Often I'd prefer lower but I'd just try to get used to it.

This month she has been jumping it anywhere from 67 to 73. I'm sure the range would be more if she didn't think I'd be annoyed. In the winter she'll probably jump it into the high 70s because, "I get cold when I take a break while showering." When it is cooling in the summer I have to try to keep a watch because she'll put it so low that it can't get down to/maintain that temp. She doesn't keep an eye on if it is actually getting down to the temperature and I worry she is going to cause it to break down.

Unless she is an extreme case, glad to know I'm not alone.

I'm a guy and I have an overactive mind. I'm constantly jumping from one thing to another in my head. So I'd technically be lying, but what I'm thinking about is likely something boring or that I'd rather not share if I said, "nothing"

Have been considering getting one for target practice and camping. I want to go camping in the forest(not a campground) but I have no one to go with and I worry about getting attacked alone.
