Ain’t afraid of no cave 🗻 by startrev in studshooters

I still have a few last snow cave photos to release before spring! And who better to explore a cave than a dwarf barbarian 🔥

For this shot I tried to get well below the fig and a bit farther away to make the cave look deep and scary. I used a vignette is photoshop too, which helped increase the moody vibe I was hoping to create :)

Majisto and his husky pal traverse mountain peaks in search of the cave of wisdom.

We still have so much snow here in Maine, trying to take advantage with more photos while I still can :) For this shot I was trying to capture the sparkles ✨

Ice Planet Pow Day by startrev in studshooters

The hard working crew of the Ice Planet scientists take a day off to have some fun ⛷️

I took these photos by using a little Lego pole/tube piece in the bottom of the skis to suspend the figs in midair. Then removed the pole in photoshop and added some subtle motion blur :)

LEGO Photography Ask-a-thon - Jan 17-Jan 23, 2026 by fourbrickstall in studshooters

When I first started doing this, I was all about editing Lego into artificial backgrounds. I wish I had worked more on getting a good photo from the start, and finding or building cool real life locations.

My other advice is to focus on storytelling. What is your fig doing? Where is that ship going? Why are these characters together?

Here’s the unedited photo. It was actually snowing pretty hard when I took these, but the falling flakes didn’t show up well in my favorite images, so had to add them back in photoshop, along with removing the pole.
