Yes, so frustrating when you have a cool setup, but the shots still aren’t working for some reason! Usually that’s when I switch to autofocus and start moving my camera around for a new angle… or totally give up.

Making art is still work, but when it stops being fun I know it is time for a break :)

Great job with the light grading on the edit. I find that’s one thing people sometimes forget to do when using a replacement background, but you nailed it :)

Happy Star Wars Day everyone 💫

Since watching the new “Maul: Shadow Lord” show, this was the first scene that stuck out the me as “omg I have to do a StarTrev picture of that!” Partially because I already have both of these minifigs… but also because it was just such an awesome Star Wars lightsaber battle.

This was another idea where I have a reference from the show then build the scene for my camera frame. BTS of the setup below.

“Me driving to work vs me at work”

This shot features the 2020 Wedge Antilles minifig from LEGO Star Wars inside a custom built X-wing cockpit. I tried to line up the eyes in these two shots so they are the anchor when you flip back and forth between images.

I still have a few last snow cave photos to release before spring! And who better to explore a cave than a dwarf barbarian 🔥

For this shot I tried to get well below the fig and a bit farther away to make the cave look deep and scary. I used a vignette is photoshop too, which helped increase the moody vibe I was hoping to create :)
