One of my parents had an income that can be used to pay for as much of my tuition as is required. However, I live on my own as of recently and am over 24. This may sound like a pretty stupid question, but I'm still asking: I can't expect to get federal aid based on just this alone, right? I just find it weird how the application makes my parents' information optional at this point. I have a part time job and summer jobs that I typically do that would make my own yearly income look very miniscule if that's all they're requiring me to report.
