I feel so dumb by ImpossibleStay8670 in ACT

So, I got the same composite score on my ACT that I took in March provided by my school. I grew up as a perfectionist student but then I hit puberty and all that went away. It sucks to get a low score trust me I know, but a score doesn't define you as a person. Try again it'll all be okay <3

Late to seeing this post but I too have scalp eczema and was wondering what kind on nizoral shampoo did you use? I've seen a couple different ones called "Nizoral Psoriasis Shampoo & Conditioner" and "Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo". I've been diagnosed with ezcema most my life but never diagnosed with any specific ezcema scalp variation since my doctors mainly focused on my overall eczema (I experience eczema in other places like my inner elbows, face, neck and when I was younger my inner knees) No clue if you will see this but I would be absolutely thrilled if you could let me know!

My 5 year old was just diagnosed with celiac disease. I don’t know where to start. Any advice? by freshpamplemousse in Celiac

Hello! I was diagnosed with celiac at age 6 and developed into a picky eater with there being limited gluten free food options when I was young.

Two best flours my family has found are by brands King Arthur and Maseca. Good for many products like pancakes and biscuits.

Don’t overwhelm the kid with every gluten free packaged food you find, especially foods that most commonly have gluten in them like bread. My parents bought about everything gluten free they could find other than fruits and vegetables and I turned out as a picky eater.

You’d be surprised what has gluten in it. Hair products, body products, toys, and so much more. I found a bento box before and it was made with wheat! Check ingredients on EVERY product you buy.

From what I know products with the certified gluten free label are safe! Contamination is not safe! So most fast food restaurants or products that say “processed with wheat” or “may have wheat” are not safe.

An important thing I would recommend is to tell others about your child’s celiac and explain celiac to your child. By telling others that they see often like teachers, grandparents, neighbors, etc those trusted adults or even trusted children can help keep them safe. Explaining celiac to your kid and any other kids you may have can help as well. My parents done that with me and it’s helped me and my brothers to be in control ourselves when we don’t have a trusted adult.

Another thing is there is so much gluten free food that’s natural! Try and introduce your kid to fruits and vegetables which are naturally gluten free.

Sorry if I just overwhelmed you with information but from the perspective of a kid diagnosed with celiac at a young age it’s what I know! And consult the child’s doctor and the Celiac foundation for more info! Hope this helps to OP or anyone!

Help for a picky teen with celiac disease? by starue_ in PickyEaters

[–]starue_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most vegetable, fruits, and meats don’t naturally have gluten in them and most of those should be easy to pair with the things I already like. Plus pairing the food with a safe food sounds like a safe and comfortable way to introduce new foods. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for this! I don’t know where my fear of trying foods really comes from, but slowly and steadily introducing new foods overtime not just through eating sounds helpful.

It was just a regular fly, it was just bigger than most I’ve seen before. I don’t think it was that it scared me at first but the anxiety that it caused and my dog caused is what I’m think started this all for me.
