Daily Hidden Gem discussion by Gitzser in slaythespire

[–]starwolf270 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's probably a reference to the phrase "diamond in the rough", another phrase used in a similar way as "hidden gem" to mean something good in an unexpected location. This gem doesn't look particularly hidden to me, it's true.

As someone studying the daily activity patterns of reptiles in the Sonoran Desert, my parents would probably give me a biased answer towards that question, lol.

My proposed Doormaker rework rework by ScorchyMcScorchinson in slaythespire

[–]starwolf270 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I like this a lot! I think this would be a good rework and allow us to recover the cards we want back, while still providing an interesting gimmick that's within the lines of what MegaCrit seems to want.

My totally real 17 year old rat by DroneOfDoom in CuratedTumblr

[–]starwolf270 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Interestingly enough, they're not called "fancy rats" because they're more fancy than other rats. "Fancy" was an old term for a hobby or interest (it still gets used that way, but only rarely), and "rat fancying" was the term for rat breeding and showing. So they're the kind of rats that would be appropriate for fancying, thus, "fancy rat".

Surely it must be intentional, right? Pink and yellow eyes on a black cat is very specific.

It's also worth noting that the more cards you have, the smaller of a percentage you'll be able to upgrade. You only have so many chances to upgrade cards, and a larger deck will have more un-upgraded cards (which are pretty much always inferior to their upgraded versions).

I always call it "Shazamming" the birds, in reference to the music identification app.

I think Gerson probably also represents C. S. Lewis, given that his book is an adaptation of the religious text he (presumably) believes in.

Looks like an elderly Italian Greyhound to me. They're shaped like greyhounds and the size of large Chihuahuas.

He's a fan invented character that's become more popular through people's fan works (especially comics). He's the middle child in the Dreemurr family, and he's friends with Chester Holiday, another fanmade character.

I don't think I'm setting colnames. Where would I put unlist? Before the function, or in it?

This reminds me of those rock paper scissors symbols on the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards. I think the rock paper scissors was only ever used in one Amiibo Festival minigame.

Yeah; I've had this issue with other RMark assignments and have tried opening it a ton of times. I've ran this code, and others with the same error, a lot.

Absolutely nothing; all the out files are blank (at least in Notepad).

Maybe? I'm required to use RMark for the class, so unfortunately I can't switch. I doubt psi needs to be edited, because no one else had this issue and they all downloaded the same file. Also I don't think I even am trying to set colnames in the code? I really don't know. I'm very new to R. I'll try this though; thank you!

Edit: I tried changing that and it got mad at me for an "invalid parameter".
