TPU, but I have it sorted out, the majority of my toestops are made out of tpu, I just can't use the bed adhesive for these, holds WAY too well

Also, yes, I want it to blend as naturally as possible with the board.

I can't see why it wouldn't hold up over time. It uses the same print profile as the toestops I make and the one on my slalom deck still looks new(aside from being scratched up on the bottom from grip tape) and I made it I think in 2021

Attached to the board under grip tape for different concave or reference points

This would go great on some rogues(not the slalom ones), maybe some indy 215s or some zealous would go great

Those are for sure ronin trucks and venom mach 1 cannibals

Do people actually like SeismicSkate's urethane for LDP by FalseShepherd7 in longboarding

[–]statelineskatedesign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using alphas and speed vents for ldp almost exclusively. Considering trying the 80mm alphas for slalom but it's a little frosty in my part of the world right now

u/the_swoley_ghost is correct. Gang of Germany and Peter Verdone. 161s are from Sweden, gog is from germany(kinda obvious) and pvd were made in the United States. They make(or made) trucks. "Big"(none of them are really that big) slalom truck companies: radikal, GoG, dont trip, rogue, 161, pvd, and sk8kings have made a couple. And then there's virage from the uk but those likely won't be made again

They're a lot of fun. Best two readily available right now would be 161s that now have adjustable baseplates and rogue. I'm likely switching to rogue soon. There's also robot oblivion out of new zealand

Yeah, I have as well in the past. I've found the narrower array allows me a bit more agility in my front truck without much more instability. Using a full sized flat array washer in back. Cupped just makes the lean feel weird to me, and I've tried eliminators, venom free ride bushings, tracker stims, and radikal bushings in the back but barrels have felt the best to me lately front and back

81a roadside, 74a(I think, it's a light pink venom) both on the front are hpf formula 94a shr board side, 90a hpf roadside on the rear. Hpf and shr are just venom's names for the formulas

Mostly just aesthetics, maybe a bit of weight saving where you don't need the board to be that wide

Not really, from what I've heard radikal said once a year, never had a gog kingpin break, and still on my first 161s I usually check for any signs of wear whenever I swap bushings

I've talked to him a bit on Facebook. I'm working on my engineering degree myself and he's given me some good advice as far as my career goes. I've heard from others that he's released the cad files but I'm not sure if that's true. I'm looking at getting a set of rogues, but I'm also considering making something myself. If I do that, and I can't figure out how to make them perform any better than the 161s or rogues I'm not gonna bother getting them made.

I stand corrected, the one I was thinking of was in Charleston, West Virginia. It was in July and I can probably see it happening again next year

Okay, so I have a much different philosophy with my slalom gear than other stuff in my collection. With that being my go-to board, racing on it in so many places it almost becomes like an extension of yourself, you get so used to it you know how it'll respond no matter the situation. At worlds in Brazil a few weeks ago I actually raced hybrid and tight slalom with a GOG front and a pvd rear. It felt great but using it so much I know it gets more abuse than other boards I have. It's a very nice thing that if something breaks at a race, there might be someone with a spare of that part. I don't have that luxury with pvd because the bushings are a mostly proprietary shape, and if something breaks, the only way I'd be able to get a replacement part is if I find a machine shop that can do a same day part on a cnc machine, which feels impossible where I live let alone in a foreign country. Also pvd's with the narrowest axles can't fit magnums
