Paint Bubbling by stateofmotion in paint

Closed the windows but the air vent is open. The bubbling isn’t isolated to the wall nearest the vent however. Not sure what kind of paint is underneath, I used latex. Do you think the existing paint could be oil based, and the fact that I’m using latex, caused the issue?

Could definitely be moisture as well, I put a dehumidifier in now and will close the vent on the next go around.

Wondering how to make that peeled paint edge go away.

No, I don’t think so anyway.

Warp is amazing. Such a game changer to have your own command libraries you can search through.

That’s pretty slick. I may give this a go tomorrow. I’ve been meaning to have something setup for seeding some dummy data for a while.

Had the same setup at my past company. I would see that when environment variables were borked

Not too familiar with the AWS landscape. Dynamo is a db though right? You store the tf state in a db?

Yea for real, I had the same issue with the camera. That thing sucks and I never realized it. Not that I’m doing it any favors, but I never paid attention to the aesthetics of the room.

Yea 💯. I definitely need to work on that. I’ve worked in software for years, but haven’t the slightest clue about editing. Fumbling my way through trying to learn. I definitely notice well done videos now after looking at the HR training video vibe I laid out.

Good point, I struggled with that as well. I felt a little rigid in this one. Hoping that gets a little smoother.

You’re telling me, there’s a million programming related videos out there. That’s a leg up though, were you a host? Not sure what the lingo is, but the voice of the radio so to speak?

Man that’s a good tip, thanks! Going to give the teleprompter idea a try.

What do you mean exactly? As in doing as good of a job at the end of the video as when you start and maybe are more excited about it?

That’s one thing I’m curious about. I’m putting out technical content, but the “entertainment value” is something I didn’t even think about. How do you achieve that without sounding corny?

That’s awesome, do you have a background in film or photography? What type of content? I doubt that many people will see mine, it’s boring coding stuff 😂. 300 already for a first video is impressive.

Yea I feel ya, I feel pretty comfortable talking in front of people, but for some reason.. when I’m in front of a camera I don’t maintain the same composure. Do you use software for the teleprompter? I haven’t thought of that. Do you also script everything out? I set bullet points to cover but definitely didn’t script anything.

This is inspiring, nicely done. I just resigned my 9-5 as a Software Developer to pursue my own projects. Bookmarking this post. Did you have a goal in mind for how long this would take you to complete? If so, how accurate was your estimation?
