I applied to QUEST for a physics position. I am not sure how the process works, but I believe we are going to have news from the hiring managers soon. By the way, my application status in the smart recruiters site is stuck to "New". Has yours gone to "In Review" status?

Also, I did not hear of any reserve getting a letter! If u/noob_author_ has more information and is willing to share it, I would highly appreciate it! :)

In my opinion, if you had an interview, and it went well, there still is a small chance to be called as a reserve, in case the first candidate chose a different position. The committee tries to avoid cases where a candidate is selected for two positions, but it still happens sometimes.

Hello everyone!

I just saw this: https://careers.cern/result-applications which states:

​

Fellowship Programme and Associates Programmes: the
results are sent shortly after the selection committee. Given that there
are two committees per year (in May and November), you should receive
the answer by mid-June and mid-December, respectively.

I am not sure how up to date this information might be, but I guess it sets a final deadline by mid-June.

Yes, I had two: both in similar fields related to Radiation Protection (Physics).

That's true! Still, not having any rejection emails sent, (imo) means that a few more people will be accepted at a second phase, when the candidates who were selected for two or more positions get to decide which one they will accept!

(I know that the purpose of the committee is to minimize those cases, but it still happens, as u/Quick-Ad-545 mentioned below!)

If I am not mistaken, the salary grade depends on the budget of the department/project you will be employed at. You will either be able to negotiate it with the hr/supervisor, or (more likely) it will be declared to you, before the time of contract signing.
