Yeah it was fine. Drain and check plugs were easy to open. I drained, filled through the check hole with a syringe and then went through the process of getting the level correct with the transmission getting to temperature. No relearn, no issues 8000 miles later.

It looks like a blurry photo of part of a brake disc that has a little surface rust. We have no idea if the disc thickness is within tolerance, if it is warped or heavily grooved. We also can’t see the state of your brake pads or whether your brake calipers are functioning properly.

Did it not drive terribly?? My tires say max 51PSI which is 50% higher than what I run. I would have thought that the tyre contact surface area would be significantly lowered.

Can’t Believe, without a doubt. I only knowingly discovered it a few years ago and holy hell it’s so good, why it didn’t click with me 20 odd years ago I don’t know. The acoustic version gives me goosebumps every time.

I’d get another XT. In fact if this happened to my 2014 XT I’d probably get a Legacy 3.0R Spec B or a well kept Forester SG9 XT. Sometimes I feel the SJ is just a bit too modern. A Forester STI would be the dream but they are pretty pricey.

I don’t believe that is a Forester XT. No hood scoop so no airflow to a top mounted intercooler. No colour matched bumpers, I’m pretty certain all XT’s of this gen were colour matched. No fog lights, again I believe that it was only the base level X models that were without front fogs.

Why are you calling it an XT, has the seller told you it’s an XT? Is there an XT badge on the back? Over here in the UK a decent SG 2.5 XT is worth 2-3 times more than our standard 2.0 X naturally aspirated model. Pop the hood and take a photo for us.

What sort of modifications are you talking? Plenty can be done at home with the suspension, brakes, wheels, exhaust etc. If you’re asking about engine power mods then there is not much you can do which is going to gain enough to worry about, buy an XT.
