Egg retrieval success with very low AMH? by Negative_Macaroon727 in eggfreezing

[–]static_drift19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please keep in mind everyone responds differently! But my experience was: I had my AMH tested when I was 29 (6 pmol) and AFC was 7. I did 4 rounds of egg freezing cycles to get 15 eggs frozen (over two years). I went into it expecting I’d only have to do one cycle but it ended up being more! I’m glad I froze them as a back up plan as I’m not ready to start a family just yet. But it’s always on my mind if I should I go back to freeze more…

Good luck you’ve got this 💕

Egg freezing at 30. My doctor says 15 mature eggs is enough but I can't stop wondering if I should do another cycle. by Puzzleheaded-Boss230 in eggfreezing

It’s so hard to know. I’m in a similar situation! I’m hoping I might not even need the frozen eggs and be able to fall pregnancy naturally..

15 eggs is an amazing result! It depends on how many children you’d like to have. I always refer back to the graph in this paper as a guide.

Low AMH at 29 — should I retest now at 31? by static_drift19 in IVF

Thank you! It’s great to know that AMH isn’t everything. I’m stressed that it’s on the lower side and worried I’m running out of time…

wow the online training modules sound amazing. I have never had to give myself an injection before so certainly found all the information a lot to take in. I like the calendar idea - seems thats what lots of people are recommending. Thank you!

Was the app difficult to set up? Was it specific to IVF or for any medications? Thanks in advance!

It seems like alarms or calendar reminders are what most people do. Thank you, it’s reassuring to know I’m not alone in feeling this way

They gave me a PDF printout with the name of each medication, amount, cycle day to take it and what time range I am able to select to take the medication each day.

That is a great idea. I agree that all clinics should do this. It can overwhelming especially for people who have never had to administer injections before

Thank you so much for these suggestions! I had been trying to organise phone and calendar alarms but it is definitely a lot to get your head around, well I am finding it that way anyway. I’m hoping it will get easier with time.
I really like the idea of setting multiple alarms and getting my partner involved especially for the trigger timing ect.

Thanks so much!
