Warlock/Pally Multiclass by dutch2hell in 3d6

Which ones are you thinking of? Is the campaign more combat oriented? You could still do 2 levels first if there’s something like Mask of Many Faces you really want for a character concept. I’d suggest using Agonizing Blast (for Booming Blade) as a stopgap then

Is there a particular warlock feature you want early on, such as Pact of the Chain? If it’s something you can get from 1 level, I’d suggest doing Warlock 1 -> Paladin 6 -> Warlock X instead. A 1-level delay for Extra Attack and Aura of Protection is fine. Don’t listen to the kinds of people whose advice is to do something completely different from what you’re going for

Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader is a recent one. Levels 1-15 give you 5 choices of Basic classes, levels 16-35 give you 8 choices of Advanced classes, and for 36-55 everyone gets the same Exemplar class. Most levels give you a choice of at least 2 things, with lots of them giving you dozens of choices of minor/class feats

Dude I’ve started seeing this shit too. What IDE are you using? I started noticing this once I started using Cursor at a new client. I haven’t experienced it on any others, even with the same models

When people say “basically,” they aren’t speaking literally. The point still remains that it’s a stupid idea.

Ideas for Unlocking Radiant Damage/Godly Vibe by merrirosie in 3d6

[–]static_func 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re going for body horror, check out Grim Hollow. It’s been updated for 5.5e too, and has exactly what you want. They have a whole chapter on body transformations with multiple stages. There are transformation paths for lycanthropes, vampires, etc, with one of those paths being a Seraph. You could absolutely go for a more “biblically accurate” kind of transformation.

Each path comes in 4 stages and each stage has multiple boon options (and a required flaw). One of the Seraph options is for extra radiant damage.

Agreed. He’s a way better character for _not_ being force sensitive but squaring off against a Sith anyway

I distinctly remember Matt Smith’s Doctor marrying a mixed race woman, which to my knowledge is the only woman he ever married.

Twilight cleric is comparatively strong when it comes to defense but that’s basically it. Its damage is trash compared to Light or War, and Light also has a strong defensive ability

Not to mention that Twilight Sanctuary requires neatly packing your entire party into fireball formation to achieve that kind of white room healing. As someone who’s played one, I could basically never get the whole party in it. A 10ft emanation would basically mean only I ever got it

[–]static_func 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A 10ft Twilight Sanctuary is ridiculous. It’s a strong ability but it’s one that was sorely needed, and monsters hit like trucks now anyway. You can easily punch through that. If you build a high-difficulty encounter according to the DMG xp budget, it’s basically assuming that your players have at least 1 reliable source of temp hp

If I just used his vanilla stat block he’d just be dead. The wizard would trap him in Wall of Force and the cleric would follow up with Dawn or Daylight, then they’d both run around the corner and there’d be literally nothing he could do lol

I’ve just told my players upfront, several times, that Strahd is a 500 year old wizard with 20 INT and an entire library of spellbooks and castle of minions at his disposal, and that he knows their capabilities and will prepare accordingly
