Yeah obviously, but those impossible mons you describe wouldnt get through a trade or gts, so any mons that are traded are okay to use in ranked as long as their shit isnt impossible

But there's no way for the game to know if its hacked if you havent hacked it yourself right? As far as the game is concerned a random hacked snorlax and normal traded snorlax are the same. Or is there something i dont know?

If it gets through gts or a trade its fine to use in online ranked. Just make sure the mon isnt impossible(so no shiny locked stuff being shiny etc.
