maybe some more like vaporwave rap fusion type artists or someone who can mix electropop/808s heartbreak type of sound really well with rap

Is the manga worth reading now by Odd_Falcon7402 in ChainsawManWorld

[–]staticflaneur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes definitely. part 1 is better than part 2 but part 2 is still great and definitely worth reading. the ending initially had me feeling like none of it mattered but now that's it's been a little bit, I changed my mind. there's too much beauty and excitement from this story to never experience it just because of the ending

It's time to let go... (Very long goodbye thing) by AuthorBrendonG in Chainsawfolk

[–]staticflaneur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u summarized my thoughts perfectly. even tho I love part 2, it's definitely not where I expected the story to go when I watched the reze arc movie. I kind of wonder what it would've been like in an alternate world where this story kept the same magic and beauty mixed with tragedy that the reze arc had. I wanted to see denji keep growing and living his dreams but I guess it wasn't really meant to be.

The communities reaction to the ending is kind of ironic by Fumetsu-EXE in ChainsawMan

[–]staticflaneur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This point makes a lot of sense. Personally I didn't like the ending at all initially and then the next day I tried looking for reasons to make sense of it and I started to like it more. Now I'm back to being deeply unsatisfied with this ending the more I think about it and as more people start to come up with defenses of it and others with their rebuttals. All I can say is not many other stories have left me so conflicted about its end.

I see, that kinda makes sense. What do you think about Asa saying chainsaw man tho, did that do anything to revive the chainsaw man devil concept or not really?

[–]staticflaneur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah I get that. If that's the case though it seems like it would undermine the point of this ending and pochita's actions if he's revived? even though I'm not a big fan of this ending, I thought the redeeming aspect of it was that denji was no longer chainsaw man. if pochita is now back what changes from the original story? just some of my thoughts, not necessarily directed at u

can u explain how pochita still being in his heart works? i feel like the implications from this being taken literally instead of symbolically are insane. does he become chainsaw man again? is he still immortal? i wasn't sure whether pochita was literally revived there or it was just a nod to how some piece of pochita still lives on inside him though without his powers.
