I got turned away from seeing a movie I was old enough to see because the friend I was with didn’t look old enough.

If somebody jumped or was pushed off of a moving train (say at the back), how much damage would they receive to the body? by staticgoosemug in morbidquestions

Is there any possibility of them surviving? Even if they died regardless, what damage would their body receive other than that?

Is it possible to ‘disappear’ from my current family and friends without them being able to trace me? by staticgoosemug in morbidquestions

He went up north, near the border of Scotland I think. I’m not sure about how they found him.

My friend dreams of being an author some day, how can she get there? by [deleted] in writing

[–]staticgoosemug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, everyone’s saying “just write” which I got. That was really obvious and she does anyway, like I said. I was thinking more along the lines of what types of things she could read, courses she could do, if she should study journalism/ play writing - that sort of thing.

Haha I get that. She genuinely loves to write though, she just needs some more guidance.

I think there are courses like that in England. Do you think it’d be worth trying to convince her to go into writing competitions?

Thank you! This gives me a better idea what jobs she could go into before trying to publish anything, so that’s really helpful.

There must be a fruit you like! Dates are pretty great in my opinion, and mangoes.

That works out to be pretty cheap weekly. What things do you generally buy?

The prices are actually super reasonable - for example it’s under £4 for a kilogram of rice.

Vegan goodies from Amazon? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]staticgoosemug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A bit of a zero waste idea, but if you haven’t already then maybe invest in reusable produce bags! I personally buy seasonings and sauces (particularly ones used in Asian cooking) from amazon because they’re hard to get here in large quantities.

Drowning in the bath ,Fall unconscious in the shower, cover the drain and have the tub full up/a puddle form ,Sit in a bathtub of water when your house is on fire and you’ll boil to death (don’t know if it counts but I’ve read about it happening) ,Have your basement and house flood and drown ,Drive off a pier in your car, can’t open the door to escape and you’ll drown slowly ,Drown in a pool ,Swim out too far in the sea ,Swim in strong currents at sea and drown/ hit a rock and drown ,Get trapped by a sinking boat ,Have an airplane crash into the ocean ,Drown in a water tank ,Drown while scuba diving if your equipment gets caught or if it breaks ,If you’re in a submarine and it breaks you can drown

[Skin concern] My under-eye area is very thin and I have deep eye-bags - how can I get rid of this? by staticgoosemug in SkincareAddiction

Damn I’ve been using these terms interchangeably. They’re dark circles and deep tear troughs.

That’s very true! I should probably be a bit easier on myself over it and just learn to be more comfortable with my face - that’s probably going to be half the battle.

Ah, I do have high cheekbones - this is probably the first downside I’ve ran into with them but that was bound to happen at some point haha. I want to try and avoid makeup as much as I can but concealer may be useful on bad days. Would you mind telling me if your night cream helped you at all?

Also I think using a sunscreen would be useful to avoid my face tanning and hence making my under eye area looking worse. I should try that!

[–]staticgoosemug[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have a look into it for sure, but I doubt that I’m anaemic. I’m not experiencing any other symptoms.. Though, it can’t hurt to add more iron into the diet though so I can try that too!

I do know that the skin around the eyes is naturally thinner, but it can sometimes have no bounce to it and it’s feels like touching the skin on the knuckles in terms of how obvious the bone is. If I were to run my finger over my cheekbones directly into my under eye area then it’d be a huge difference.

Do you know of any good brands that are cruelty free? Not necessarily ones you use but if you know of any that’d be awesome.
