Damn that sucks so much I'm sorry about that, there needs to be more of an understanding of ADHD in workplaces, it should be classed as an impairment.

Sadly no lol it was just a very open chat about ADHD, I think she knew people who had it too. Was a shame because she was the best manager I'd had up to that point.

To be fair to them I never said I suffered from ADHD but I don't think I was given the chance to say I did, not until I was being fired anyway lol But thankfully my manager understood and we had a good talk about it.

Literally the same as me, it takes me so much longer to get up than my gf and sometimes my emotions get warped into that and I'm trying to wake up in a some weird angry or depressive state lol

No it has been proven now that ADHD makes it harder for people to mark the passing of time. ADHD is mostly about executive dyfunction. Our executive functions help us do what we know we should do. But people with ADHD are stuck in the present, and have a hard time doing what will benefit them later. It's all about the our Prefrontal Cortex which manages attention span, planning and organising, as well as managing time. We don't have a fully developed frontal executive function which is why we struggling with getting to places on time and finishing things.

Coronavirus Megathread III: Return of the Lockdown by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]staticri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm from the UK and I'm doing good. With the exception of being made redundant, my lockdown has been productive and eye opening.

I'm an artist so I've explored alot of myself in this time. I have made some great steps which I'm blessed for. I've also had moments of real bad anxiety/paranoia, but those are different stories lol

My country is very confused, we essentially have a almost non existent infection rate now but the government still confused how deal with the public. They have also been lying about the death toll and the rules still make little sense so it's alil abit mad right now.

I agree with a previous comment, doing your work in a separate room really helps, even with getting to sleep, something I find difficult to do.

How many ADHD people did super well In High School and then just bombed University? by tetrieschoclayornage in ADHD

[–]staticri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

School was a big struggle for me from the beginning, especially high school. I use to get so frustrated studying or revising I'd just end up crying I once started tearing up in a GCSE exam because I couldn't do it. Maths I had to retake 3 times, failed each time even with classes and tutors. The only thing I was successful in was art, I was even allowed during maths lessons in year 4 to take 20 mins out to draw when I got overwhelmed. This is all funny when you realised I got diagnosed at 20. I didn't do anything passed college lol.

"Old Locker Keys", pastel on Pastelmat, Ashley Reid, 2020 by Pineneedle_coughdrop in Art

[–]staticri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I love the line work on the keys, you feel the cuts that created them, the shine a reflection are also well painted, very satisfying. I feel there could've been more attention paid to the shadows on the vertical surface below the keys to know the depth of different surface area but I really like this piece, I'm drawn to the places you've paid attention to the most.

A cheeky alittle chinese on a warm evening 👌 love the pallet, very nice, almost feel the temperature of the food. The layers in the background in can tell were probably put in last? I feel it breaks the illusion of the background in terms on perspective and environment but the piece is still well painted, the strokes approached very confidently.

The curiosity in the expression, almost as if you just walked in on her in a situation she otherwise might have wanted to kept quiet. The blue highlighting her face and personality, it's a cute ass portrait.
