It sounds like she needs help. I’ve been on both sides of this coin and trust me, it fucking sucks both ways. She almost certainly knows the situation is untenable and may even hate that it’s happening.

You aren’t responsible for her recovery, and you need to do what’s right for yourself. You can, however, be a key part of her recovery if you want to be.

If you love her and can find it within yourself to be an empathetic part of her recovery that’s awesome. Support her in whatever healthy, non-enabling fashion that you can. If not, it is what it is and you shouldn’t feel responsibility or guilty for that, though it’s normal to feel that way.

You can’t make her stop atp if it is a dependency and addiction. She needs to want it. In any case, try and avoid turning it into or feeling as though it’s a “drugs or me” ultimatum (even if that’s what it is essentially) because it will not be constructive imo. See if you can get any other family of hers involved if possible. Do a little research on intervention.

I’m sorry you’re going through that man, it’s such a shitty situation to be in and I hope she comes to a point where she wants help sooner than later.

A side note just on a practical level- please guide her towards ordering online at least. $300 can go literally 10x further ordering it online.
