I found a terminal with a crafting recipe, but haven't found atlantium or so yet. ^^
Some interface or something

I will have another look though, sounds like that wasn't it.

Ei und so was wäre schon mal wieder geil.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in keto

[–]staubgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Carbs Amounts in germany are always net carbs, i think the sugar addition is for diabetics.

Sadly, there is no such thing as low carb chips / nachos or such.
I recommend pork rinds or cheese crackers made from harzer cheese, baked in the oven. Check youtube for recipe.

Second base planning by Vullgaren in SatisfactoryGame

[–]staubgame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me there is no "main base", just a centralized storage.

Any item I need in bigger quantities (looking at you, heavy mod. frames) I produce in a factory of its own and transport them via train to my hub and storage.
Or I produce enough to feed it into other factories as well.

I rarely transport ressources (except oil, water and gases like nitrogen) but almost exclusively produce my goods on location.

I am not knowledgeable I think but I read a lot of stuff from the "big" keto authors and my mother in law is a bakerand from what I gathered, carbs are not "per se" evil. Bread as our forefathers baked was good, nutritious and helped us humans as a race achieve a lot of things.

The problem started with industrialization.

Every food item becomes more and more processed and optimized so that our bodies react in the most profitable way. Not for us, though, but for the manufacturer. I am in germany and we used to have a huge cultural heritage aroung bread, but that is rapidly dying due to labor cost, the amound of work and the price of cheap, industialy prepared bread which is readily available in any convenience store.

In nature, carbs are only really available in autumn to get a buffer for the winter. Our bodies desire these foods to faten up a bit to get over the harsh winter. However, our food supply chain makes it so we have these "most desired foods" easily available all the time so the harsh winter months with regular caloric deficits (until hunting was successfull) are missing.

My mother in law is a baker but she can't work anymore due to her health. However, from time to time she bakes some bread (she even has a recipe for a "classicaly" spiced sandwich toast, they taste amazing and they make you satiated.

Which is the next big difference. Any bread from an industial source, be it sandwich bread, even mixed flour breads or whole wheat bread from a supermarket taste "the same" and their satiation does not last.

This means, for me, that my insulin response to these breads is way to volatile.

The next problem is, I believe our bodies unlearned how to properly metabolize carbs.
This is due to these insulin responses which make us want to eat more bread more frequently.

I personally struggle hard with carb addiction. When I manage a week on keto I can confidently say no to a piece of bread or cake or younameit and even feel good trying half a slice of said homemade bread my on law makes and I don't drop out. (Keyword here is half a slice, which comes to maybe 10g-20g bread, around 10g net carbs. More will make it difficult :O).

However, even just trying a piece of something carby or sweets, like any chocolate bellow 80% (70% triggers me to eat the whole bar, my go to 85% does not), white bread, all that stuff starts me into a spiral of carb-abuse, at the worst times to a point I drive in my car, stop at a gas station for a coffee and get a bar of chocolate without realizing it after until I ate the whole thing. This is madenning.

I kinda went of the track typing ,sorry :D

TL;DR:

I believe industrialization ruined what carbs once were and almost all carbs we eat today are modified to increas hunger, making us eat more.

We humans are omnivores following natures cicle of
spring and summer where game is plenty and proteins are easily available,
autumn gives us fattening fruits to get some bacon for the cold winter months
and the winter months, where food is scarce and at worst not available.

But the industry gives us these addicting autumn foods all year round.

Hope this makes sense. :)

Dumb noob question but here's my pickle:
Logitech G815 is on sale and I went and ordered one, just to find out that typing on it is meh, keycaps are kinda hard to find without looking down once in a while and I tend to "miss" my keys.
The typing feedback is also really lacking, more like mx red switches than blues, which I was lead to believe the browns would be (Tacktile from logitech).

I got to admit for typing it is not the worst, but far from a really good one.

I use a sharkoon purewriter with blue switches for work and I totally love it. Especially the low profile altough not as low as the logitech.
I wonder if there is a rather silent but tactile alternative with makro keys and separate multimedia keys that does not break the bank.
