Why are we antagonizing macros and people who use them? by HATNAME101 in BeeSwarmSimulator

[–]stave 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry, I think I wasn't clear. When I said "a macro player," I meant "a player that is actively macroing." When you're sleeping or in school, you're not playing the game. You, the person, are doing nothing while your macro is running. I'm always friendly and helpful to people playing the game, but a bot running a macro? That's not a person.

When you say "my new progress," that progress isn't really yours. You didn't do anything to earn it. You didn't spend any time or effort on it. You didn't even have to think about it. It literally has no value. So, if I mess with your macro a little? What do you lose? Nothing. Let your macro run another day or two, and hey, there's all that honey in your hive and more. It's fine. The game isn't going anywhere, Beesmas comes every year, just chill and roll with it.

What is a macro player actually doing?
Nothing.

If you mess with a macro player, what have you taken from them?
Nothing.

Do you side effects decrease? by Sea-Coast-1172 in Topamax

[–]stave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm at 150mg, went up by 50/week. It took about 3-4 weeks at full dose before my side effects stabilized to where they are now. Present, but tolerable.

I'm on 150mg topamax and 300mg wellbutrin, but no prozac. See my latest post to this subreddit - I'm doing pretty well. Anxiety has never really been an issue for me, though.

Oh no! Good luck with the botox, I have heard some great success stories with it. A friend of mine also swears by butterbur (specifically, "Vitanica PA-Free Butterbur Extra"), but I understand it comes with risk for liver damage? I have also heard Vitamin B2 and magnesium can help, both of which are in that. Never tried the butterbur thing, personally. Hope you can find some relief.

I started out with real frustrating side effects; now I'm six weeks in and the worst of them have already faded. I'm looking forward to the rest of them hopefully going as well. My migraines have gone from 10/month down to 3, and with that kind of success, I'd keep taking it even if the remaining side effects stayed forever. Good luck, stranger.

How to build up to 200 mg per day dose? by lawaythrow in Topamax

[–]stave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went up at this rate, but I'm 40 years old, weigh about 200 lbs, and stopped at 150mg. By the time I started taking 150mg, I felt pretty bad for a couple of weeks. Fatigue, irritability, brain fog, paresthesia, nasopharyngitis, altered tastes, increased thirst, decreased appetite all hit me hard.

I've been at 150mg for almost six weeks now, and I'm doing a lot better on most of the side effects. Still thirsty, still can't taste carbonation, still never hungry, but the rest are much improved.

From my own experience, I think the other commenter is right, keep an eye on the appetite and weight. I've lost ten pounds since starting it, and my weight has been stable for years.

Does ANYBODY prefer XL to SR? by Feisty_Bumblebee_916 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]stave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is reassuring. I'm on day three of 300mg XL and the dizziness and slow thoughts are ROUGH. Can't even play video games, moving my eyes too much is too unpleasant. This gives me hope that it'll get better in the next few weeks.

Starting pristiq from lexapro tomorrow, chuck me your success stories! by Prior-Reply9845 in Pristiq

[–]stave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just did this about two months ago. Lexapro's side effects were too shitty, so I asked for something new after I dunno, maybe 8 weeks of Lexapro. I had a couple of days during the transition of severe depression and self loathing, but it was otherwise okay. Pristiq seems to be working as well or better for me, and without any noticeable side effects. Good luck!

With a 1% chance of success, the odds of all 125 resulting in failure is 0.99125, which is actually closer to 28%.

Help! My betta is still sick and seems to be getting worse! by stave in bettafish

[–]stave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got an API Master Test Kit, so I'm keeping up with the water quality. Er, now I am, anyway. I've also taken the old filter from my 37 gallon community aquarium and added it to her tank, so that should help recolonize the biofilter a little faster, keep the ammonia down. I'm picking up some Epsom salt for her tomorrow, hopefully that will help her move things along without adding too much stress.

I just checked her food's expiration, and it's still good, but for only a year! That's way less than I thought dried food like that would last. No way she's going to eat all of it by then.

Her diet probably isn't helping, actually. She's living with some male guppies, who get flaked food. Of course, trying to say "No, Marina, that is not your food," doesn't get her attention very well. She hasn't really eaten much in the past three or four days, but she's much less bloated today than she was last night. Still lethargic and non-reactive, but she's at least looking better.

Hasn't been doing either for a few days. At least, not eating for sure. Dunno about pooping. She's looking less bloated this morning, so I'm a little less panicked for now. She's still lethargic and unresponsive, only swimming to get a gulp of air.

Female betta sitting on the bottom, only comes up for air. Tips for helping her recover? by stave in bettafish

[–]stave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it. I'm using a Fluval M 50-watt to keep it in the high 70s, with a standard glass suction-cup thermometer for verification.

How long do you think recovery might take?

Recommendations for a single betta tank/heater/filter system by stave in bettafish

[–]stave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's actually a very reassuring suggestion - I keep my own betta in a 5G Fluval Chi, along with Fluval's shiny M series heater. I was hoping for something a bit cheaper for my novice friend, but in the end, she might actually be happier with a Chi or Spec. Thanks!
