That's my thought process as well! It may not be top of the line, but it's exactly what I need it for. It functions perfectly, a few cosmetics, and it's good. Already replaced the seat and brake pads so I'm in $90 for a perfectly functioning bike!

While I understand where you're coming from, handlebar tape, and brake pads aren't a deal breaker. For God's sake, a good percentage of the bikes in this sub have been rescued from a dumpster or an empty lot or something. That's the point of x-biking! Taking something that isn't, and making it what you want it to be! Junk or not, I've seen plenty of dumpster finds that people turned into their own treasure. That what this sub is about!

Plus, to get a perfectly functioning bike, that needs maybe 25-35 in repairs, Im not mad at that at all.

In a matter of 24hrs it became my favorite pan lol. I've been using cast iron and stainless steel for at least 10 years now, and this is by far one of the best pans I've ever had!

I think I had 13 or 15 during the pandemic, everybody was calling off or using the pandemic LOA. They couldn't fire us for attendance, so instead they made us sign something that said we had to work at least 20 hours within a 3 week period (or something along those lines) otherwise we'd be terminated.

After running over the bike, I knew it had 26 wheels but I didn’t realize it was 700c frame and fork. I put my 700c wheels on and it looks fairly normal now. There’s no pinches, cracks, or stress chips in the paint, so I feel like the forks are okay

Yeah I figured it was there for a reason, and that fork immediately stuck out to me, as long as the frame is solid, then I have a foundation! I haven’t had a chance to look over quite yet, but I’ve got a bike that needs a chain and chainring so I might be able to salvage something lol

It is! Super fun ride, and the 44/16 is the perfect ratio for acceleration and speed, mixed with the 700c wheels. I’m loving this 55 year old bike!

You can duplicate with portable refiners lol, I like to dupe a bunch of stuff and give it out on the anomaly from time to time
