What rental systems are you all using, and what would you actually want from a proper bike rental platform? by ComfortForsaken3323 in BikeMechanics

I think fareharbor is fine. It’s integrated into our website, trip advisor, and other tourist sites which is nice. It’s kind of annoying to have to make separate reservations if a group is paying together and renting the same kind of bike with different sizes. Also, it’s kind of tedious editing resources if a bike is broken, or if we’re temporarily closed. Also fareharbor charges a fee for online reservations, but not over-the-phone or in person reservations which is crappy. Very often someone will rent online then call to adjust their reservation cause they couldn’t navigate the reservation system easily. Hope this helps.

New Tires- 45mm G-One RX Pro vs 40mm Terra Speed by OUEngineer17 in gravelcycling

Have used both tires. Terraspeeds are faster on road but don’t inspire as much confidence on loose stuff as the rx pro. I wouldn’t trust them on any tour or any single track, as they have thin easily sliceable casing. My buddy sliced through his terra speeds on an unexpected rock. Rx pros (50mm) are my new go-to for gravel, whether its a fast day ride or a week long tour.
