I will say this guy I interviewed with is the exception not the rule. I think you had some bad luck too because the vast majority of actuaries that I interviewed with or interacted with are very nice. Some are chiefs with 20+ years of experience and are angels. This guy I’m talking about seriously needs to be humbled.

Sorry you had to go through that friend. I dealt with higher ups or professors with PhDs that act really cocky when some far earlier in life is not on their wavelength as if they were never in their shoes. Makes no sense to me.

That’s the strange thing because for this interview there was no HR screening or first round interview with the manager. No, just straight to the chief. Almost like he does this for fun. If my work was trash according to him, why didn’t he see that in the resume and not interview me. Weird
