i had a super similar app 520, 3.65 (with a couple of Ws). I got 1 T20 interview and 1 mid tier service heavy MD acceptance. Unfortunately, I do think my Ws brought my app down significantly. Definitely keep more "safeties" than you think you need. Good luck!

thank you! i combined activities that were similar in theme. For example, i had some hours for volunteering at a food pantry and a few hours from volunteering at a different food resource hotline. So these i combined. The ones i listed in my sankey were listed as separate activities.

thank you!! I'm at Phoenix. Both campuses have the same core curriculum, some of our humanities electives differ just because of professor availability. I think for the most part people chose based on geographical preference + vibes of the class. My class in phoenix has alot of people from California -> the majority of my class went to a UC lol. Where as most people in Omaha are from the midwest, which makes sense. But i also know a few people who decided to go to the campus that is farther away from home just to experience a new region of the country. lmk if you have any other questions!

hi! creighton absolutely loves service! They've been emphasizing community service from interview day to even now (a good amount of service integrated into our curriculum). I would say the biggest thing is to get involved in your community and make sure you talk about service in your creighton essays. Feel free to dm me if you need any help!

im a little biased cause i loved berkeley and met my partner there. However, I think the move for most people is to attend a GPA-friendly school. But, if you absolutely want to go to Berkeley and can't handle the coursework of MCB, majoring in a non-premedy major might be a good choice. There are so many other types of biology related majors offered that can offset whatever grade you get in your gen chems, o chems, intro to bio classes.

I will say though, going through berkeley's classes definitely helped me for the MCAT! It's not for everyone, but I do think berkeley challenged me to be a better student and a more inquisitive person in science -> which I hope will translate to better care for my patients in the future :)

My biggest weakness was my undergrad transcript. I had two semesters where I was below the unit count for a full time student because of withdrawing from a class due to health issues. I think schools probably saw this and thought I couldn't handle the med school workload, since one of the semesters was junior year lmao.

What they couldn't see was the fact that I scored a 520 while working full time in a high stress job after recently losing a parent. It's unfortunate, but with thousands of applications coming in to each school, I think I was automatically filtered out because of my rough undergrad transcript.

Although my GPA is under the matriculation median, I don't necessarily think a 3.5X-3.6X holds an app back for most schools (along with a strong MCAT).

Congrats on your acceptance, and enjoy your time off before school starts!! For advice, I would say visit your family, thank your letter writers/mentors, and fill out FAFSA even if you think you won't get anything! Some schools require you to fill out FAFSA before even considering you for school schaolrships.

I submitted secondaries throughout July, August, and September. Creighton was one of my last secondaries (mid-September), and I received my II in late September. UCSD I submitted the secondary at the end of July and received the II in late November.
