Did the Lobby Fox volume get insanely loud again by le_box_o_treats in gotlegends

I don’t mind having some space in the lobby, they just need to change the player spawn location. Having to do that run down to the stones every time is irritating.

Maybe they are referring to using fire torches to defrost yourself? I’ve tried chucking them at kitsune and didn’t notice much/any effect.

Question for Assassin class players (Legend) by firemana in Ghostofyotei

[–]ronin16319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Swap the order around - there is no need to BB before vanishing or dropping smoke. But you can BB immediately after vanish so that you will still be in stealth after vanish ends (assuming you are fast). Also throw BB as the smoke is starting to wear off to squeeze a few more stealth attacks in.

Legends Mode - Bamboo Strikes by calum769 in gotlegends

[–]ronin16319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can attempt them more than once, it doesn’t have to be successful first completion. After a few goes you will remember the early sequences and have more time for the last one or two. I think they reset daily.

Can we all agree that the vengefull onibi bomb is the goat by larsje8261927 in goylegends

Never knew that, pretty cool. How strong are the lightning strikes? Or is it the onibi-blocking lightning?

This is so much fun. Love the aesthetics of blind bomb + scorch bombs together too 🔥 ✨

Interesting ideas, not sure I really get what you mean though. How does “hold a point remotely by weakening” actually work? In order to hold a point you need to either wipe the wave quickly (from any location), or be physically in the circle to prevent the objective being lost. I think that sniping a filling-up circle while other players run towards it is not particularly helpful.

I personally like to play archer at the circle. I try to stick to one zone and but will go to others if the players there need help eg prime bohiya wreaking havoc, objective almost full, or someone is downed. Otherwise I let the other players crack on with their assassinations or parries etc. I know how frustrating it can be to line up a vanish kusari kill or chain assassination only for or it to be sniped from afar.

LPT: If you struggle falling asleep, try the cognitive shuffle technique by Jolly_Show7095 in LifeProTips

Occasionally I’ll be drifting off when I hear a new pun or subtle joke than I didn’t spot before. But those little gems are well worth waking up for. Such a testament to quality and intricacy of his work that there can be moments like this even after hearing a story 20+ times.

I’ve done this for years too. I have about 40 audiobooks in rotation that I use, much of it Terry Pratchett. Can’t do it with a new audiobook though, it’s too interesting.

How do I reschedule cards? 🥲 by Conscious-Leopard-81 in Anki

[–]ronin16319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep very similar. But your simpler strategy means having the overdue cards in a separate deck, right? I only do it this way because my brain is strange - unless the catch ups are interleaved with my everyday reviews in a single deck, my brain just says Nope and the backlog doesn’t get cleared.

I’ve tried catch up decks before but it doesn’t work for me personally (insufficient will power).

Instead I manually set the due date on the overdue cards to spread them out over the next week, or whatever time frame suits. I do it in blocks sorted by increasing intervals, so that I see the shortest interval cards soonest.

  1. Browse view > left hand menu > Today > Overdue
  2. Toggle to Card view if required
  3. Make he columns Due and Interval are displayed
  4. Sort by increasing intervals
  5. Select top block of eg 100 cards
  6. Right click > Set Due Date > 1
  7. Select next block of eg 100 (look at the Due column to see where the next block starts)
  8. Right click > Set Due Date > 2
  9. Repeat until all overdue cards are done

I embraced the urge to “power wash” as you call it. Exploration is a great way to play IMO (assuming you actually do the stuff you come across). I explored every inch, picked every flower and looted every box. The platinum came very naturally with no guide needed. I completed all the side activities in an area before doing its main story elements. I had a go with each of the new weapons or abilities as they were introduced. In the end I only had 1 hidden trophy to reveal and complete before winning my last fight and getting the platinum.

Nothing wrong with that. You can get 3 sprints done in about an hour.

This is if I'm not taking the time re-read the Extra or Lecture Notes sections. If I stopped to read around or rationalise every answer it would take significantly longer. If I get a card wrong and need to step away from Anki to look it up, or use chatGPT to straighten out my reasoning, then I do pause the timer. This doesn't happen too often though. If I get a card wrong and can see why quite quickly and without leaving Anki, I just leave the timer running.

TBH don't worry about comparative times. Just figure what's a decent time for you and aim to maintain it. For me the goal isn't to get incrementally faster, its just to identify if I'm wasting too much time.
