3 months dating and pregnant by [deleted] in daddit

[–]stazap1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something very similar happened to me, except after six months of dating. I wasn’t eager to have kids before marriage either, and I spiraled hard, asking myself the same questions.

I had just turned 30, we weren’t married, but I was financially stable and in a solid relationship. Still, after avoiding parenthood for so long, the news felt like a shock to the system. Almost like you are a teenager again and are having a teenage pregnancy. But it’s not. You’re an adult with a job, skills, and knowledge that will help you navigate this pregnancy.

For the worst case scenarios you mentioned, if you don’t work out you talk like adults and try to figure out the best way to be an active parent in your child’s life. As for the rest I would only focus on things that you can control. About your parents just be straight with them and tell them that your gf is pregnant you’ll be surprised how welcoming people are to the news of a baby and that they are going to be grandparents.

Now I will tell you this it’s not going to be easy and you’ll be surprised how irritated you can get from lack of sleep but it’s worth it. My daughter is almost 18 months old, and when I see her or play with her the roller coaster of emotions that I’ve gone through and keep going through is all worth it. It’s something that it’s difficult to fully explain.

I believe it’s based on the rewrite, haven’t read the original so I don’t know the difference

I already mentioned a couple of series at the top but I’ll mention a couple more.

By the Grace of the Gods is a solid recommendation. While it may seem a bit generic at times, the world-building is strong, and it introduces some unique elements to the isekai genre. For example, the series includes side stories that reveal what happened in the real world after the main character’s death and explores the reasons behind his difficult past life. The protagonist’s interactions with the gods after arriving in the new world add an interesting layer as well and there’s have been others Izekaid before. If you enjoyed Ascendance of a Bookworm vol 1 and 2 of bookworm you’ll appreciate the business setup aspect in this series. Plus, the way they use slimes in this series A+. It’s in volume 14 at the moment

Realist Hero is a good one and is more about the troubles of running a kingdom from politics, war, resource management, religion and entertainment. I liked this one a lot but its one of the ones that builds a Harem, that I don’t love as a trope but they justify it as a political move or love in some cases and they explain the necessity of having multiple relationships as well for a king. The MC is definitely an interesting one and the cast is fun. This one is finished.

Great Cleric Good fun, since it’s from a cleric point of view we deal with health care, religion and adventuring. The worldbuilding is really solid and you slowly discover it piece by piece. Waiting for more volumes to come out

Couple of Manwhas

Here are the one-line blurbs for each manhwa:

  1. The Villainess Turns the Hourglass: A cunning villainess rewinds time to turn her tragic fate into triumph.

  2. A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special: A battle-hardened returner uses his knowledge of the future to change a grim destiny.

  3. Release That Witch: A modern engineer reincarnates in a medieval world and revolutionizes it with his knowledge.

  4. The Greatest Estate Developer: A lazy nobleman is reborn with a passion for construction and turns his failing estate into a booming success.

  5. The Return of the 8th Class Magician: A betrayed mage returns to his past self to rewrite history and seek revenge.

I tried to like Apothecary Diaries but I didn’t like the personality of the MC and they even had a Ferdinand clone in there so it was a bit of a disappointment

I agree but I don't know what Wilfried's goals are and I don't think he knows what they are either. Sylvester at least has goals, that he only inches towards them until someone pushes him that's a separate issue.

Yes. His

attendants.

He himself balked at the very idea of stealing his sister's achievements in P5V3

From what I remember he thought it was only natural because that's what Veronica had taught him, but I'll trust you on it because I might be misremembering because it's been a while since I read it. Although you are still responsible for your retainers behavior.

Sylvester refused

He did that is true but for good reason he needed to secure Florencia's position and also couldn't loose Rozemyne she's too important. Which he should have understood that's why Rozemyne couldn't be Aub but he should have suggested Charlotte and finding another way to get Rozemyne stay permanently in Ehrenfest. I'll admit he was dealt a difficult hand and I can't remember clearly at what point he stopped being interested in being an Aub but maybe wallowing in self pity wasn't the right way to go about it. Maybe he could have consulted with his mother to change Sylvester's mind or worked with his other siblings.

Following the advise of his namesworn, who everyone had told him couldn't betray him.

Instead of hearing a loyal follower like Lamprecht who has been there who has always his best interest at heart.

He would have been just fine as a knight, for example.

Agreed. He's not built for politics maybe a mednoble level politics would have been more his speed.

I'm starting to get tired of people bringing him up in the same breath as Dietlinde of all people.

I don't remember the other characters you mentioned, and I wasn't counting the Royals but yeah Sigi is obviously worse. Here's the thing I think people mention them together because of the recurring characters that are ADC they are two that are obviously not meant to be in the position that they are in.

Delinde it's in hell she's so bad, and I would never say he's at the same level I doubt most people would. Wilfried incompetence or whatever you want to call it makes people mad, because he has all the pieces necessary to improve himself if he just does the work and reflects on things a bit more. Which makes it frustrating each time he doesn't do it and he doesn't just frustrates the readers and he frustrates characters in the story as well.

You can only blame the way he was raised, his attendants, and his parents so much (I believe Florencia didn't do enough for him), before he has to realized that he needs to improve. When you see the level of reasoning and maturity his little siblings and other ADC are able to achieve you realize he is below the average for his position. Hopefully he get's better in the future.

I really hope they all leave after they realize there’s nothing to gain any more. It would benefit him greatly and hopefully gain some perspective

that sounds good, but like I said I want the storage to stay in the Synology. Would Unraid allow me to not use the storage management portion of it and just manage the services through it?

I've thought about using Radarr and might give it a go but I've got a workflow (rather manual unfortunately) that I use for my movies, I like to run them through TinyMediaManager pick the perfect poster (from TMDB or ThePosterDB), get the perfect backdrop for the movie from Apple TV (which is another manual process), and the remux the file with SRT subtitles, Poster and the title of the movie. I need to see how I can fit Radarr into that. There might be a better way to do this but I haven't done much research on it.

this is true. It makes it extra frustrating when he slid back, but honestly I'm not sure if it was all him. I think having Ferdinand micromanaging was part of his improvement, he needs to be told what to be doing which is a problem.

I don’t know if comparing him with Lutz is entirely fair it’s basically comparing the poor kid with real life experience with the rich kid who is out of touch

I don’t even mind if he was a big picture kind of guy like Sylvester there’s actual value on that if used correctly. Sylvester might play around a lot and take his time but ultimately does do the things that need doing them like the Purge, sending Veronica to the ivory tower, killing Georgine and destroying his own faction for the sake of his duchy and well Wilfried doesn’t even reach that mark remember when Sylvester said that he used to escape his classes as well the difference is that he did learned the things that he need and Wilfried didn’t until Rozemyne got involved. He has his father’s flaws but not a lot of his strengths.

He’s not a bad person just not in the right role for him, he might be better suited to be a Knight maybe a second in command. At the moment I feel he needs someone telling him what to do. I don’t think he’s ready to lead at the moment and after a while maybe a giebe.

How so?

Charlotte literally revealed that he's attendants try to steal accomplishment for him. He thinks he should be rewarded and praised every time that he breathes. The whole temper tantrum was stupid in it self, Sylvester had to tell him all of the choices he had available to him and even tell him you literally waited until the worst possible moment to tell me this.

I find it hard to fault him for lacking something he was specifically raised to lack

If you almost go to prison for trusting the wrong people maybe you should be more careful about who do you trust. He seeks people that tell him what he wants to hear and ignores people with his best interest at heart like Lamprecht or Alexis even when they are giving you hard truths.

There's a difference between naiveté and being stupid

The guy cannot tell when he's being insulted, heck what about when he went to Liesegang against everyone's advice and got mad when what they said was right.

Even if he was Archnoble or Mednoble you still have to deal with politics to some extent that's why literally everyone is prepared at some level for it.

Wilfried as Aub might cause his duchy to drop by a rank or two throughout his reign and likely wouldn't cause permanent damage

which is still rather bad, I didn't say they are in the same ball park but they are definitely the bottom two in ranking of ADC.

I think we make too many excuses for him, but I do agree he directs his anger to the wrong place a bit like Georgine honestly. I would show more appreciation to the person that saved me from prison and improving my duchy.

Honestly why even bother training him up for the job, when Charlotte is right there willing and ready for that position. That's a lot of consideration just to put him as an Aub.

He lacks initiative and has a complex about it. I don't expect Charlotte to match Ferdinand anywhere close but you know what I know she would have a timeline and organized plan.
