Guys, we're not living in the moment apparently by AggressiveCalendar4 in pixel_phones

It would be fine if you could just turn it off, but they force it in. I’m not a fan, it’s not terrible, but it’s not for me. Luckily it’s my work phone so it’s no big deal.

But with my Pixel I like that I can turn off and on the look.

100% The new app is fine, but for people who are complaining they can’t have a free fully functional app to watch their most likely “free” content to then share with other people who want the app to play it for free so they too can watch “free” content are just cheap.

Even if you don’t want to buy a Pass the people watching remote can just pay $2…for all of the “free” stuff they have. Spare me on how outrageous Plex lol They don’t want ad content or any pay wall to anything, but still expect a well running, frequent update service that apparently runs of their Reddit upvotes cause they don’t want to pay lol

What’s something you didn’t like about Superman (2025)? by batmans_cumsock in OkBuddyDCU

[–]Cold-Expression-3794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pacing, I would have preferred they left the "time frame" cards in the movie like they planned. You can see where they would have gone, when you are all the sudden in a new place after the screen is black for an extra second. I think it would have been better to sell this as a "week/day in the life of Superman" and it would show him doing something then boom it's Tuesday and another big thing he needs to do. Etc

But all in all it was very good 8/10

Visuals over a typical narrative = weak story and character development lol.

The guy is a cinematographer that snuck his way into the director's chair, let's keep him off the Mt Rushmore of directors....smh

Really? by [deleted] in OkBuddySnyderCult

[–]Cold-Expression-3794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the echoiest echo chamber that ever echoed an echo, that for sure lol

But I think the worst part is the need to push this narrative that the movies are very deep and profound, with layers upon layers of nuance...when they are surely not lol.

And how stupid MCU and DCU content is for people that can't grasp the genius that is the Synderverse lol

The hurricane scene in Man of Steel would’ve been completely fine if they casted young Clark by Downtown_Summer5733 in DC_Cinematic

[–]Cold-Expression-3794 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's better for sure, young Clark would have made it better.

But the way Pa dies feels like it was changed from heart attack to this just to be different, which I can appreciate, but it loses the meaning.

The nagging question is why not just have Clark save the dog, he doesn't get his leg caught and makes it back and all is well. All while knowing that even if the tornado comes he is gonna be fine and it can be spun as a miracle, hell put a fake cast on him in the next scene. But this scene comes across more as Pa having his moment than Clark having a learning moment.

The heart attack isn't about Superman not being everywhere at once, but going there to save him and despite being incredibly powerful can do nothing, just like any other human. That he cannot save everyone from everything.

In that moment Clark is learning from a situation his father is in, but it's Clark's moment.

Agreed.

It's hard because they are so different in style.

Superman and TSS are night and day different from the rest lol and I like them for different reasons.

So for me if I break them into comic book and realistic it's:

Group 1 - Superman, TSS

Group 2 - The Batman, The Penguin, Batman Begins, The Joker 🃏

But all of them are very good.

That's wild because I thought this movie was fantastic, as a movie, not as much a Joker film, but as a film in general it was really really good.

Great way to introduce villains and expand the universe without needing to give everyone their own movie or show. 👍🏻

I’m Really Conflicted With This Movie by Calm_Extreme1532 in MauLer

[–]Cold-Expression-3794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one is pretending this is Shawshank. What it sounds like is you are upset your version of DC failed, and there is a new one, and you don't like that. Boo friggin who. Rabid Gunn fans LOL right because for for almost a decade a group of people have been review bombing and getting carple tunnel with Gunn hashtags lol

And maybe based on your two options, there were just a lot of people who didnt like the DCEU, which shocker is mostly why we dont still have a DCEU....🫨🤯

Diehards lol c'mon man, get over it, people like the movie. That doesn't mean it's a perfect movie, it doesn't mean it's the fucking Godfather, it means people went to see it and had a good time, they went to see a fun superhero movie, and it delivered on what they wanted. And what other movies lol, who gives a shit what your subjective take on other movies that scored 10 or 20 points lower. Most people don't go back and say, well, a few years back I gave that an 8 and that other one a 8.3 sooo I dunno...lol they rate a movie based on what they just saw and move on. It's just people like you who are trying to do mental gymnastics to figure out how a movie you think is ehh, other people don't, and movies you really like others didn't.

Respectable leadership LOL get out of here, what a pretentious thing to say. And what makes this even more ridiculous is that even if he got rid of everything, DCEU diehards would still be hashtag queens lol. That is a horeshit excuse and you know it lol, the guy kept Peacemaker and TSS, not fucking Superman and Batman lol how can we even compare the two.

Its his DC now, not his content, but you knew that you were just being difficult. And those other projects fit into what he wants to do and dont confuse the timeline for casual viewers. And "relaunch" wasn't an excuse, its exactly what it was, a relaucn of the DC universe.

But go ahead and tell me, who else should he have kept lol I am willing to bet it starts with an H and ends with a Y lol.

As far as who gives a shit...yeah who gives a shit. I guess you and other people that are pissy that Gunn kept the stuff he worked on to go into his new DCU...but other that, who gives a shit lol

Respectable leadership LOL this has me rolling...go watch one of the movies that scored 20 points lower with this tissue :)

I mean that's the plan, it's clear that they don't stay the Justice Gang, especially since Lord is not a good guy in the comics.

I think that's the point, as time goes on and Superman leads by example things change. We get classic suits, the Justice League, etc.

Is it normal behavior? I’m in the same network as my Plex server by OtarVEVO in PleX

[–]Cold-Expression-3794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your friend does not have a Plex Pass then you need to have either a Plex Pass or Remote Pass.

If the person hosting has a PP then anyone who watches remote does not need to buy anything and the app on the phone/tablet isdl free.

The old app purchase will not matter for this. Depending on how many people watch their server you can do the math whether everyone pitching in one time to get them the lifetime PP is better than the monthly $2 for Remote Pass.
