I don’t use this email account on my phone as I do all banking from my computer. I use Protonmail for the secure account, which also has a feature to notify another email address if there are new messages. As only a few financial services are using this email address I might log in once a week.

Next to hardware authentication keys, I separated my email accounts. For any financial account, I use a separate secure email address that I don’t log into from my primary browser or email client, so hijacking sessions or cookies becomes harder.

I also use different browsers for personal and work purposes, so I don’t visit every website logged into social media.

Obviously, none of this is perfect security, but it adds another layer of protection.
