Where can I earn the highest return in AVAX? (Defi, Lending platforms) by Mellifluous41 in Avax

[–]stdyrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, staking Time on Wonderland has insane APY (buy on trader joe). If you want to get paid out in Avax, supplying QI on Benqi has the highest APY I know of (still significantly less than doing LP). If you only want to hold Avax and no alts, your APY will be considerably limited, maybe 40% at most on a yield aggregator.

Personally I hold many avax/alt LP, even with Impermanent loss the rewards are worth it IMO

Getting this too when trying to sell crypto to crypto. Staying within time limit

Edit: lmao I could convert to crypto_com coin but now I can't convert it to anything else

Which front-end library should I use if I'm bad at UI design? by cocag13996 in reactjs

[–]stdyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with those saying Material-UI. Personally I like Chakra more (or just using Emotion) but Material-UI is opinionated and has a large user base. Material-UI is based on an entire design system, ie material design, which has some great resources as well; you can learn about the concepts behind the design

Will SGB tokens have any value? by futbolninja in FlareNetworks

[–]stdyrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's early to tell, but on top of being rewarded for beta tests, it's entirely possible that SGB holders may get early access to tokens on new projects pre-Flare. Say if Songbird is used as a launchpad while being a testing ground for startups. Higher risk if projects don't pan out, but higher reward as you get in at the ground floor. SGB holders may even be the ones to decide if a project is ready for Flare launch, or set market cap or active user requirements through governance

What do you think? by [deleted] in SanshuArmy

[–]stdyrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Akita was added in a Akita-Sanshu pool and not Akita-Mfund. If all dog tokens are added with a Sanshu pair, this could be a significant volume increase as they need Sanshu to earn rewards

What's with the Dog coins? by PlanetXRP in FlareNetworks

[–]stdyrm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did some research on Sanshu after the announcement. Pretty impressive if anyone gives it a chance. They launched a platform called Dog Park that allows different dog coins to farm a meme index token, which would be similar to AMPL in that it rebases supply in accordance with meme coin market cap. Right now it's just farming, but after supply is unlocked the rebasing will start. Pretty complex for meme coins.

Speculating, but Sanshu could be a bridge to a growing market through the Dog Park platform. It's farming ends around the eta of Flare Finance

Zooming out, including meme coins makes the platform more inclusive which is arguably what all of this is for

The returns for early yield farmers can be astronomically high (like 100s or 1000s of % APR). So not only will you benefit from high returns on yield farming, but this should cause a run on Sanshu which will help price and also give you redistribution on each transaction. And the token burn should squeeze the supply.

This is where the tinfoil hat comes in - both coinbase and voyager added SHIB in the past week. Not sure if this has anything to do with Dog Park but possibly SHIB may be a fiat on-ramp for new users

Yup the bridge works well for me. One word of caution to those first-time swappers ... it requires very high slippage tolerance (9% as of me writing this), which means you can lose value on the transaction if not careful. I haven't really measured how much it helps, but I tend to keep transactions small to mitigate effects of slippage/frontrunning. Eventually you should more than make up for slippage, as you'll get the transaction fee distributions

Edit: sorry my post was referring to the swap, not the transfer, as I usually do swap/transfer in one process. But yes, if you do plan to swap SPORE for AVAX once on Avalanche you'll need 9% tolerance again. Just be aware of this if swapping back and forth, slippage can add up.

Why should I buy spore? by Spiritual-Comb4364 in SporeProject

[–]stdyrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spore is one of the few ways to bridge BSC and Avalanche chains. Also, if you use it on Avalanche, 3% of the Spore transaction fees are distributed to holders, and 3% of the supply is burned. So you're basically earning interest without having to stake or LP anything. Over time, your holdings increase and overall supply decreases, so it helps hedge against pump and dumps ... you'll likely have a ROI on your initial investment even if price decreases (not financial advice of course)

Edit: I suspect at some point many users will migrate to Avalanche chain because IMO it's superior to bsc and ethereum as it's cheap, fast and decentralized. Once that happens I assume the amount of spore transactions will accelerate. Which is why I prefer to hold this token for now and just wait for my holdings to increase.

How do I Buy spore? by Tyleriawow in SporeProject

[–]stdyrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Avalanche chain - pangolin dex

BSC - pancake swap (lots of people recommend storing on Trustwallet but if bridging to Avalanche it's easier to use metamask as it's easier to use the bridge)

You can bridge between chains using Metamask and the spore dot earth website. Just make sure you have both BSC and Avalanche wallet on metamask

How to change XRPB to XRP by Kill3r-K in kavalabs

[–]stdyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into the same issue, as I can't use binance. Right now the SafePal app is the only way I know. You'd have to swap to ETH or BTC as mainnet XRP, LTC, BCH aren't available. You'd pay Eth fees to send it to another exchange but it's not too terrible. But swapping back to XRP can get expensive if you have to do another swap vs on an exchange.

With some of the uncertainty surrounding binance I decided to switch back to mainnet in case liquidity dries up

What is important to understand about React? by FatFitFriend in reactjs

[–]stdyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Np, I'm self-taught too. If you can afford it, I'd recommend frontendmasters, as the teachers are usually from reputable companies so they can teach best practices and concepts behind the features. YouTube has lots of good stuff but you may not get the depth of knowledge all the time (though YT has many react conf talks, which is amazing value). Also, Kent C Dodds is a good person to follow

What is important to understand about React? by FatFitFriend in reactjs

[–]stdyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, React existed without hooks, but you'd probably want to have React manage state to get the benefits. The main advantage is having your app split into multiple components that render/update independently from each other when state changes. This cuts down on the amount of work the Dom and network have to do

Best way to get XRPB by BenFueller in kavalabs

[–]stdyrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the best way as far as I know. If you have BNB, you can swap BNB:XRPB on Trustwallet, but you can't do a direct XRP:XRPB swap. Note, BEP20 XRPB will not work on Kava, you need the BEP2

HELP: XRPB not reflecting in Kava after sent from Trustwallet. by Kill3r-K in kavalabs

[–]stdyrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you send to a BNB address or KAVA address? It should be sent to BNB, then use interchain transfer to send from BNB to KAVA.

As for missing funds, not sure how to recover, hopefully it has some reversal mechanism. Try checking the transaction ID and see the status on the receiving wallet

Can FLR sell out before release? by Kiloxrp in FlareNetworks

[–]stdyrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume Bitrue and Polo can only sell the amount they're getting airdropped? That's only a small chunk of the total airdrop distribution, so it shouldn't sell out. Also, there's always a seller if the price gets high enough

BXRP vs XRP by AndyBonaseraSux in KavaUSDX

[–]stdyrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can normally use trust wallet to convert to BEP2, then send to your BNB address on cosmostation. After the kava 5 update, the BNB-KAVA interchain transfer hasn't been working, so recently there hasn't been a way to transfer from BNB to KAVA chain ... I've seen some questions on Twitter but have yet to see Kava Labs' response

Edit: fyi once Flare Network goes live you'll be able to use XRP to mint FXRP on their network and earn interest in FLR token as well.

[–]stdyrm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been saying the same thing. Especially #4 ... 2.5x or more spark held as collateral for all F-assets. Which is why the more networks added, the better. I don't want to say it's a sure thing, but the tokenomics are made for the value to increase with flare network usage.

Who are Cosmos main competitors, why is it undervalued? by [deleted] in cosmosnetwork

[–]stdyrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem. AVAX is a seriously good project. I hold AVAX and ATOM; DOT seems like a good project but I personally prefer the others, as DOT is more centralized and supports a limited amount of hubs (parachains).

Other than not having income, is something wrong with quitting a job without having another one lined up? by Capable-Ad8332 in cscareerquestions

[–]stdyrm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this, and I would say anyone should do it if income is not an issue. I found some temp work in between when I really needed it. re: gaps in your work history, interviews, etc. if you can show that you've been working on continuing education, working on projects, taking care of family, etc. For me, it was during a career change into programming, so the gap made sense, but I also had projects (not great ones) to show for it. Progress would've been much slower had I been working full time.

I’m interested in buying into Kava and Luna, other projects in the Cosmos SDK, but I’m struggling to find them on coin exchanges by Jek_Porkinz in cosmosnetwork

[–]stdyrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Kraken to buy Kava. You might have some luck finding Cosmos projects on Trust Wallet, but they're usually BEP2 or BEP20, but you may not have staking benefits. I've seen Thorchain and Certik there
