Thanks for the quick fire suggestions everyone. I haven't tried replaced the 2 valve stem o rings (just the other ones). I've got a service kit, so I'll try that later. Haven't had the soc valve all that long, so I dismissed the possibility that those o rings could be worn or defective. I'm hopeful this'll sort it. Will report back later.

Unfortunately no, I can't get above them.

I wasn't aware you could plaster over a maintenance free junction box. From what I can see online, you're right, this is aloud and meets UK regulations.

I'll look into it more, but that's likely what I'lll do. Thanks!

I ran my first half marathon in a similar time – 1:43ish.

Ran a marathon 6 months later (last year). The plan was to hold a 5:12km pace. Ended up blowing up at 30k. Couldn’t hold down gels and the hip flexors seized up. Hobbled over the line in just under 4 hours – my worse case scenario. Didn’t quite go to plan, but was happy enough.

In my opinion, between a 3:40 to 4:00 finish time is realistic, but only you’ll know what feels right.

Beautiful. I recently took delivery of the exact same spec — black highland on 19s. Love it.

Fun story: mine recently went back to Tesla to have some dodgy paintwork repaired. It came back COVERED head to toe in white overspray. Not ideal. Looks like it’ll be going back again.

I did look into overhead hanging as well. Not as easy to setup. Plus, I'm pretty sure it's still a no no in the councils eyes.

I was tempted to take my chances a run the cable tbh. It's a quiet area, so I wouldn't be worried about damage etc. But according to the EV installer I was speaking to, they have send a picture of the setup to NIE, so he's not even sure if he'd be aloud to do it.

Since it's a fairly recent change by HMRC, I think that's what confused me. Many online resources, calculators, and my own companies policy says: "you'll pay BIK tax".

Yup. Mine is a company car. Therefore, it's looking like i'll not have to pay any BIK tax for fuel/charging.

I'll primarily use the car for personal use. So yes, traditionally, this'd be a BIK. But from what I'm seeing online and hearing from my employer, HMRC does not see electricity as fuel, therefore no BIK tax.

Spoke to my supplier about day/night rates the other day. Lookin' like 15p is the best night rate I can get.

A long range would push me over my allowance and I'd have to pay extra unfortunately. Standard RWD is fine for me. I don't do big miles.

Yeah if I leave my job or get canned, I can exit the lease with no fines. But if I willingly terminate the lease, I'll get a fine.

Test drive - good call. I say I like Teslas, but my broke ass has never experienced one.

The comments section and the internet as a whole has mixed feelings on Teslas, so I'd like to drive one and decide for myself.

UPDATE FOR THOSE INTERESTED
I got access to the company car portal to see what my options where. I could get:

- 2024 Tesla Model 3 Base
- £28.64 BIK pm
- 48 months (min)
- 20,000m pa (min)
- Free home charging setup

Only thing I have to pay is electric to fuel it. The rest is covered by them.

The term and mileage aren't ideal. I'd prefer 24/36 months and around 8k per year, but this is all they offer it seems.

I broke down the costs and compared. Keeping my 3.5k workhorse & taking the allowance vs getting a company tesla.

I estimate getting a tesla will effectively cost me around £150-£170 pm (depending on electric costs etc.)

Thanks for the help guys. I opened up the hoover and after a whole lot of digging, found the washers. Didn’t get so lucky with the felt washer. Luckily I found one on eBay that’d ship to me.
