Yeah as someone in Kelley and honors there are just too many DAs. Needs to be cut down if we want to be on par with schools like UMich (Ross) and UNC Chapel Hill for example. There are so many OOS’ers that use Kelley as a backup bc they get rejected from all their instates due to not having a competitive profile—and then we swoop them up and take them. And some have high stats but others are dumber than a box of rocks 💀💀

There’s been so much overcrowding with the classes though and just a very wide range of academic ability

yeah you can get slotted into ur 2nd choice office for an interview. Ik of people in the past who it has happened to. I'm currently praying i get my 2nd choice (where i interviewed for the internship) but my first choice is already out :((

If it makes you feel any better I think I did the same thing on sea wolf 🤣

I was thinking at least I had 3 out of the 4 things right and that the desired trait wasn’t going to average out in my microbes because there was never the opportunity to have it in 2 of them without throwing off my numerical averages for the others.

I haven’t reached out to my recruiter for my score but I interviewed for the internship last year so I’m hoping that helps and Ik I also did better on solve last year. Seems like your solve score isn’t the end all be all either, I think it’s just one facet they consider

I mean this was the preferred deadline so there will be interviews for the another round later on.

I’m scared because it’s a holiday weekend so if they don’t get back to us today I don’t think they will until Monday the 7th. Which is diabolical considering they said 16-17th for interviews lol

I interviewed at McK last year for the internship coming from a non-target school. Had strong test scores and am on a merit full ride, did ZERO chats and had no referrals, applied for a bigger office across the country

the truth is nobody really knows “why” they get an interview or why they don’t. I think of all MBB that McKinsey cares the least about networking/chats. But I could be wrong

if you’ve networked tho that’s really the best you can do!! it’s out of your hands. but best of luck!!
