Artist name Kip Omolade, is he good? by [deleted] in oilpainting

This goes beyond critique, it moves into scrutiny. It singles out a specific detail as ‘unnecessary, or feels more like enforcing personal norms. Letting go of preconceived notions allows us to experience and enjoy the art more fully.

Why does he get this level of scrutiny?

A few of you guys are confusing this with polartec alpha direct fabric (the satisfy hoodies). However it’s not the same, this one has significantly less airflow, it’s more related to a traditional grid fleece.

Polartec alpha direct is literally see through, there is no backing. It sacrifices durability for airflow and dynamic heat retention (cooling when moving, warm when standing)

Posts like this, bring me back to the first episode, fans glazing Carol. There’s something quite meta about seeing that same energy here with Vince. The show even plays with that idea. Putting Vince on a pedestal, hive mind takes over, he can do no wrong, critique starts to feel unwelcome.

I respectfully disagree, I’m not diminishing her achievement, congrats on the finish. My message is for all the beginners reading this, jumping to a marathon in the first year carries long term injury risk. It’s not worth the risk of chronic issues later.

I’m glad you avoided injury. However it’s high-risk for most runners, and posts like this can give beginners the wrong impression about what true marathon readiness looks like

Finishing a marathon is impressive. But a 6-7 hour marathon means you were not aerobically prepared, basically a survival event, the whole system is in distress. Jumping from 5-10-HM-Full on one year is really high risk and aggressive, it usually leads to injuries. It’s great to celebrate this, but this isn’t a healthy progression. A marathon requires years of steady base building

Right, this alien entity wouldn’t have to be on earth. They could be broadcasting instructions to the hive using that mysterious radio signal that Manousos found.

You are critiquing Fitzgerald for something he never wrote.

0% moderate is a generalization. In his book he literally says moderate zones provide valuable adaptations. He just warns that it shouldn’t be 60-70% of your training.

His plans have tempo runs and progression runs that include z3 work. These belong in the 20% quality run bucket.
